Associate Director for Employer Engagement **POSITION DETAILS** **ABOUT JOHN JAY COLLEGE** John Jay College of Criminal Justice is a senior college of the City University of New York (CUNY) led by President Karol V. John Jay College seeks staff and faculty members who thrive in multicultural academic environments and are committed to access and excellence in higher education. **CAMPUS-SPECIFIC INFORMATION** The Associate Director for Employer Engagement in partnership with the Director will provide overall leadership for the John Jay College’s strategic efforts for employer outreach, including program development, marketing, sponsorships, management, evaluations and outcome measurement. + Collaborate closely with Director of the Career Learning Lab to design a 3–5-year strategic plan that includes recruitment strategies to expand the breath of employers actively recruiting early in career, student talent across the full breath of academic majors, minors, and certificate programs offered at John Jay College. + Oversee the development of marketing strategies to attract employers includingassisting in the writing, design, creation and implementation of recruitment marketing content, including but not limited to: email and text campaigns, social media marketing, digital advertisements, pitch books, and presentations. + Develop global employer relationships on behalf of John Jay College. + Manage the Employer Advisory Council (i.e., meetings, agenda, minutes, etc.). + Maintain knowledge of market trends, changes in skills demands and train career advising team members to effectively prepare students and alumni for employer expectations on skills, preparation and trainings needed to qualify for all opportunities (capstone, internships, fellowships, research, full-time and experienced). + Develop and execute an annualized recruiting calendar reflective of both public and private hiring norms for employers and students to engage in on and off campus, including information sessions, tabling, expos, site visits, career treks, mentorship, executives in residence and more. + Ability to execute, large scale, campus wide events and manage budget. + Establish campus recruiting policies and stay abreast of changes for employers, students, faculty, and staff and serve in an advisory capacity for all on and off-campus efforts. + Identify and develop partnerships with organizations that support skill building and career preparation of undergraduate and graduate students (i.e. Forte Foundation, Management Leadership for Tomorrow, etc.) + Communicate with prospective employers via in-person meetings, phone, text, and email. + Assistin the management of CSM/CRM recruitment tools (i.e. Handshake) and other related technologies. + Drive the development of employer recruitment reports and analysis. **QUALIFICATIONS** Bachelor's Degree and six years' related experience in career services, corporate recruiting, human resources, marketing, business, and/or a related field are required. Master's degree preferred. **OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:** • Strong understanding of government, non-profit and private sector recruitment processes, policies, and criteria across the full breath of industries including finance, consulting, technology, healthcare, media and more • Conducts research among prospective and current employers to clearly identify their needs and how best to meet them and tracks and reports all employer outreach, employer activity on- and off-campus, and position postings. • Serves as liaison between the department and career-based student clubs for planning student-led career events. • Experience with marketing including creation of collateral materials, social media channels, and reporting on analytics. • Proficiency in web-based technology, career base applications and/or platforms such as Handshake, VMock, and EAB navigate. • Ability to travel domestically and/or internationally. • Ability to participate in weekend and evening commitments. • Excellent organizational, time management, and program/project management skills. • Proficiency in data collection, analysis, visualization, reporting and data management tools (i.e. Qualtrics, CUNYFirst, etc.). • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, multi-task, strong attention to details and meet deadlines. • Must have strong research, organizational, technical, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. • High degree of professionalism, strong interpersonal skills, and team-oriented attitude. **CUNY TITLE OVERVIEW** Develops and manages career development programs and services in a College of Unit and assumes a leadership role in the design and delivery of creative approaches to career education and planning. - Assists in unit planning, such as setting goals and objectives, and monitors status of progress toward meeting goals - Designs and produces outcomes assessment reports; reviews outcomes and feedback and recommends strategies to expand and improve services. - Directs a portfolio of targeted career programs, such as mentoring, internship, and alumni programs - Manages one or more aspects of career office operations, such as on-campus recruiting - Evaluates new technologies, assessment materials, and other career tools, makes recommendations, and acquires/implements them - May counsel a limited number of students - Performs related duties as assigned.
