Actual compensation will depend on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location.  The anticipated wage for this position is

$108,000 - $158,400

Lead the Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Department and provide direction and vision in occupational health, industrial hygiene, process safety, and environmental compliance to the site. Provide oversight of site’s continuous improvement agenda.  Responsible for:

Provide direction and manage the Environmental and Health and Safety organization, ensure technical capabilities are in place.Provide direction and vision to the site regarding EHS and other subjects.Leads and participate and in the Plants’ EHS Lead Team and related decisions.Provide direction to the site to assure regulatory and Corporate Policy complianceLead the efforts to assure an effective and consistent process is implemented to review and approve Capital Investment Requests (CIR’s) and Change Controls and provide the EHS resources to be able to execute effectively this process.Support capital projects, as needed.Corporate/Agency LiaisonArea Inspections – conduct inspections, analyze trends and assist areas in identifying solutions to avoid re-occurrence.Serve as a cross-functional member of the site lead team and participating/engaging in other areas for the site.

Basic Requirements:

Bachelor or master's degree in engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical)Minimum 10 years of experience in the HSE field, required.Experience in chemical manufacturing support role.Leadership/Supervisor ExperienceSolid technical expertise/understanding of Health and Safety OSHA standards and Environmental regulations (DNER, EPA) and experience in the implementation of different programs.Experience working to improve site safety culture.Fully bilingual with written, verbal and oral communication skills (English /Spanish)Effective leadership, teamwork, interpersonal and communication skillsExcellent technical and writing skillsAbility to communicate in large group settingsExperience dealing with regulatory inspections and negotiating with regulatory agencies (Ex Presentations to agencies, Compliance Plans negotiation etc.).
