Responsibilities: The Associate Director undertakes rigorous analytical work and is proficient in conducting research and fundamental credit analysis, analyzing financial statements, working with financial models and forecasts, and writing analytical reports on rated different infrastructure asset classes. The successful candidate is able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, is customer-oriented, and demonstrates excellent presentation skills. Your responsibilities also include: Demonstrate analytical excellence and good presentation skills in front of internal and external audiences, to explain our credit rating opinions both internally as well as externally, to investors and the media. Provide highest customer service standards, whilst adhering to established ratings criteria, methodology, policies and procedures. Support the analytical growth of Junior analysts in the region, by providing timely feedback and coaching them on core analytical skills. Co-ordinate work across several teams within S&P Global. Taking the lead on special projects within the Infrastructure Practice as appropriate. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor degree holder of Business, Economics, Finance, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related subject Solid experience (5+ years) financial analysis experience within a large commercial bank, investment bank, investing institution/asset manager, rating agency, or an audit company working in the field of financial services. Understanding of the power, utilities or infrastructure asset classes. English language skills must be excellent to communicate properly and precisely within the organization and publish research as discussed above. Strong analytical skills with a deep understanding of financial statement analysis and accounting concepts. Proficiency with calculations and the ability to maintain accuracy and be detail oriented while complying with strict and tight deadlines. Ability to multi-task and manage deadlines under time pressure. Experience in managing, interpreting, and synthesizing data for analytical purposes. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Team player with excellent time management skills. Project management skills. Excel skills (including formulas, macros, pivot tables, data, filters) . Diligent and intellectually curious, self-starter with a strong work ethic and a drive to succeed. Preferred Qualifications: MBA or Master’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, Mathematics and/or CFA. Strong proficiency with Excel & VBA, financial models and financial data. Strong PowerPoint and database application skills. Knowledge of programming languages (e.g. C++, MATLAB, Python, R or VBA) Prior experience with data analysis. Proficiency/familiarity in reading legal documentation.
