**Job Description**
The Associate Director of Education and Abroad and Away is responsible for implementing the education abroad marketing and recruitment plan to meet the University's goals of internationalizing the campus. This position will recruit and support students through the entire education abroad cycle.
The Associate Director manages application processes and outreach efforts, serves as a risk manager, and collaborates with multiple campus units to foster international and intercultural learning for all students. This position will develop, manage, and maintain Center for International
Studies technological interfaces including the marketing plan for education abroad, department websites, departmental marketing material development, overall social media strategy, and Terra Dotta website. The Associate Director is the lead staff member on marketing and recruitment for the St. Cloud State at Alnwick campus.
**Education Abroad and Away Program Management**
+ Advise students in selecting programs that will meet their academic goals, interests, and special needs
+ Execute policies, procedures, and opportunities for education abroad and away programs
+ Assist in management and training of student workers, interns, and graduate assistants to promote education abroad and away opportunities
+ Manage a portfolio of semester-long education abroad and away programs
+ Actively promote and market study abroad opportunities
+ Liaise and collaborate with campus offices and study abroad and away partner organizations
+ Keep up-to-date on current knowledge and trends in the field of education abroad and away
+ Manage short-term education abroad and away program details and work closely with faculty directors on setting up programs
+ Manage the National Student Exchange program
**St. Cloud State at Alnwick**
+ Serve as the primary program manager for all St. Cloud State at Alnwick internal programs
+ Coordinate and develop promotional and information materials to promote St. Cloud State at Alnwick including printed materials, emails, text, telephone outreach and marketing campaigns while maintaining University brand guidelines
+ Implement and assist in the development of the St. Cloud State at Alnwick strategic plan to meet institutional goals of St. Cloud State at Alnwick
+ Liaise with the Alnwick Academic Director on marketing strategy and program development
**Marketing, Promotions, and Communications**
+ Work with University Communications to create, edit, and produce printed or online Center for International Studies marketing materials
+ Design and manage the Education Abroad and Away Terra Dotta website and application software
+ Coordinate promotional and information materials to promote Education Abroad and Away including printed materials, emails, text, telephone outreach and marketing campaigns while maintaining University brand guidelines
+ Coordinate and manage Center for International Studies website content
+ Develop and implement Center for International Studies social media strategy
+ Support Center for International Studies event planning and preparation
**Minimum Qualifications**
+ Master's Degree
+ 2 years of higher education experience in education abroad, international education, programming and advising, or another student services area involving management of programs and services
+ Overseas experience, in a study or living situation
+ Extensive knowledge of and ability to utilize Terra Dotta (TD) or similar software
+ Demonstrated effectiveness in publication development, marketing, web design, and communication strategies
+ Ability to serve as Designated School Official (DSO)
+ Excellent oral and written communication skills, cross-cultural sensitivity and presentation skills
+ Demonstrated ability to work with a diverse population of faculty, staff, and students
**Preferred Qualification**
+ Significant, progressive experience in education abroad program advising and administration
+ Foreign language skills
+ Demonstrated effectiveness in web page maintenance, editing software (Adobe suite or similar), and social media marketing
+ Experience withSEVISand prior position asDSO/ARO
**Other Requirements**
+ Working conditions are primarily in an office setting.
+ Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to travel by various modes of transportation including airplane, automobile, bus, and train.
