Associate Director of Loans and Financial Literacy
Description: Major tasks of this position will include the direct responsibility for the administration of Federal Stafford, Parent, Supplemental Loans for students and Unsubsidized Federal Stafford Loan Programs, including coordinating activities with parents, students, lending institutions, guarantee agencies, and various campus departments. The diagnosis of problems regarding financial awards and student enrollment will be a major strength of this position’s knowledge and skill requirements. In addition, the role must understand the repayment of funds process and the software system that processes the awards. The position will provide final decision-making regarding policy and policy development at a University level for routine actions and some precedent-setting decisions with follow up by the supervisor. This work requires good judgment and careful consideration of existing computer systems, development of policy, financial consultation, and the ability to troubleshoot problems existing in systems that are currently in operation.
