Due to consistent growth in our Infrastructure business, including the recent success of securing PPM engagements we are looking for an Associate Director to join and lead our expanding Infrastructure PPM team in Brisbane.

This is an exciting opportunity for a driven professional to take on a leadership role, ensuring the successful delivery of projects, growing a high-performing team, and contributing to the continued success of our business.

Reporting directly to the Business Leader or Service Lead – Project and Program Management, you will:

Lead and Grow the Team: Provide leadership, technical guidance, and mentorship to the PPM team, developing their capabilities to their full potential. Strategic Contribution: Contribute to achieving business area/divisional targets, including utilisation, billing, and profitability. Operational Excellence: Manage the operational aspects of the business, ensuring alignment with company objectives while mitigating risks where possible. Client & Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal and external clients, including government departments, contractors, and other stakeholders, to deliver exceptional outcomes. Project Delivery: Lead the successful delivery of major infrastructure projects, ensuring quality, timeliness, and client satisfaction. Business Development: Identify and secure new opportunities to grow a profitable and sustainable PPM business, with a focus on rail and transport infrastructure. Role accountabilities:

As an Associate Director, you will:

Provide technical leadership and drive innovation in delivering complex transport and rail projects. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, positioning Arcadis as a trusted partner in the infrastructure sector. Promote and market all facets of the company’s services during client interactions and industry engagements. Foster collaboration across multidisciplinary teams to ensure project excellence. Contribute to the development and implementation of strategies to achieve business objectives. Qualifications & Experience: 

To be considered for this role, you will need:

Tertiary Qualifications: A recognised degree or AIPM credentials in Project Management, Engineering, Architecture or a related field. Experience: A minimum of 10 years of professional experience in a consultancy environment, with a proven track record in developing and delivering major infrastructure projects. Technical Expertise: Experience working with Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) and Queensland Rail (QR). Major rail project experience, including understanding the unique nature of rail interfaces and complex transport projects. Business case and design management expertise. PMO (Project Management Office) experience. Leadership Capabilities: Strong team management skills, with the ability to lead, develop, and inspire a high-performing team. Business Development Skills: Demonstrated experience in growing a client-focused consulting business, ideally with extensive knowledge of rail networks. Client-Side Consulting: A background in consulting, with client-side experience strongly preferred.
