We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Relationship Manager to join the Government team, focusing on the UK and Ireland. The successful candidate will manage a portfolio of existing accounts and identify whitespace opportunities to drive new business.

This role involves collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to drive the sales process for a diverse and impactful range of products aimed at decoding risk and unlocking opportunities for our customers. Focusing on key Government institutions, the segment offers datasets and technologies across global entity networks, cyber resiliency, climate and disaster data, financial risk, sanctions, adverse media, research tools, AI and workflow solutions and more.

Responsibilities:

Proactively identifying and qualifying prospects, initiating new sales activity, and managing sales cycles to closure in the Government & Public sectorMaintaining a pipeline of meetings, presentations and proposals in the Government sectorManaging and supporting existing clients to generate and close new product and solution service salesUnderstanding existing and prospective clients’ projects and support needs, strategic objectives, purchasing criteria, political and other influences or constraints and decision-making processesPresentation of solutions to existing and prospective clients throughout a consultative sales processLiaising with Moody’s Leadership to help local implementation of the government strategyAttendance at industry trade shows, events and seminars (where appropriate)Developing and maintaining strong relationships with relevant industry influencers and promoting partner engagements and creating broader networks within the Government & Public sectorWorking alongside the pre-sales and service delivery team and assisting with the delivery and execution of large enterprise-wide solution sales

Qualifications:

7+ years’ experience in a relevant B2B sales role, with proven track record of achieving targetCombination of public sector sales experience, as well as software-as-a-service solutions. Experience selling into Government and Public sector markets is highly desirableExperience in selling data or software solutions and services within to a multi-stakeholder, long sales cycle environmentDemonstrated experience in developing and expanding strong customer relationshipsA strong business acumen and results driven with a drive to succeedResults-driven, determined, and flexible, with a strong and disciplined work ethicSelf-motivated and capable of working independently and with a teamAbility to develop, articulate and present concepts clearly to clients & colleaguesExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsPossess a proactive approach to problem solving, actively seeking opportunities for improvement with solutions in mind
