This award-winning Architecture practice, located in the heart of Melbourne's CBD is seeking a talented Senior Interior Designer to join their residential team.
As an Associate Director, you will be responsible for managing several projects concurrently through all phases, supported by a small team of associates, senior interior designers, junior designers, and technicians.
This practice is known to "grow their own", so this is a rare opportunity to a collaborative, design-focused studio - not to be missed!
Key Responsibilities: Act as a go-to team member within the studio for specialist knowledge, protocols, and standards, actively sharing and teaching this expertise. Manage multiple specialization projects concurrently, adapting to project size and complexity. Manage day-to-day human resources activities, including team dynamics, mentoring, leadership, motivation, and support for team members. Foster collaboration and unity within teams across the studio, contributing to studio culture initiatives. Support new business development initiatives and leverage existing networks to grow business in relevant sectors. Develop and maintain client relationships and actively pursue business opportunities . Possess exceptional design and planning skills with a client-focused and results-driven approach. Demonstrate independent project-focused leadership on complex projects or across multiple projects, ensuring consistently high standards. Capable of strategic thinking within projects and practice-wide in areas of expertise. Exhibit excellent presentation and communication skills in written, verbal, and visual formats. Committed to adhering to general business principles and resolving commercial requirements promptly. Experience in leading teams with specialist knowledge, and adaptability to challenging situations. Demonstrate mature interpersonal skills and self-awareness to effectively lead, motivate, and manage team members. Proficient in managing stakeholders and client relationships, understanding their needs, expectations, and concerns and effectively communicating project progress Uphold company brand values, and culture, following through on commitments on time. Adhere to company policies and procedures within our Quality Safety and Environment System Skills and Experience: Tertiary qualification in Interior Design or related discipline 7+ years of practical experience in residential design Proven experience in space planning which is commercially viable Proven experience in leading projects and coordinating all design deliverables from concept through to completion Ability to manage a team to deliver excellence and exceptional service Organized and able to work across multiple projects Ability to develop and maintain client relationships to deliver successful design outcomes Strong commercial acumen, ability to report on team performance and profitability Proficient Revit skills are essential, Enscape skills are preferable Benefits & Culture Collaborate with an incredible team, top of their game Social office with a regular schedule of PD sessions, knowledge sharing morning teas, Friday drinks, Archisoccer, team outings galleries, and completed projects .... the list goes on.
