About the role:
We believe our sales team sits at the heart of creating great outcomes for HCPs, their patients & our business. The Associate Director, Sales, is a pivotal role within our business leading a regional team of experienced sales professionals.

You, as Associate Director Sales Liver Disease, will expect nothing less & lead your team accordingly. You will never shy away from the moment to step up, as you lead a team of high performing people who have the chance to do something remarkable; play a role in eliminating Hepatitis C in Australia.
Reporting to the Business Unit Director, you will work in close partnership with, Senior Sales Manager, core brand team members, and colleagues in Marketing and Medical, to ensure the success of the portfolio. Further it will see you engage with customers across a variety of settings from correctional centers, drug & alcohol services to hospitals.
The role is a field-based role with regular travel across Australia (approx. 60% of the time) and we are seeking candidates who are based in Melbourne, Sydney or Queensland.
Key Job Responsibilities:
You will be accountable to deliver your revenue target within your region & contribute to national performance with Responsibilities of:
Sales Leadership:
Lead a regional team of high performing regional sales representatives.
Established and meets future development needs of the team by creating learning plans, recommending training solutions, providing mentoring, coaching, and ensuring individual development are in place for all team members.
Fosters an environment of trust and strong collaboration across the business unit, balancing the needs of the sales team with broader team and enterprise objectives.
Support the cross functional team to manage and lead change.
Focus on regular in field coaching for excellence supporting an experienced team of Senior Therapeutic Specialists, involving travel across states regularly.
Strategic stakeholder engagement:
Lead key account planning process for your region
Ownership of developing new partnerships that create insight driven programs to improve customer & patient outcomes.
Establishes effective working relationships with key stakeholders both internally & externally
Employs strategic enterprise thinking when planning and executing against goals, ensuring a focus on patients, customers, and internal stakeholders.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, healthcare providers, and relevant external stakeholders to strengthen market presence and support brand loyalty
Responsible for analysing complex problems and situations and providing logical recommendations, including leading any required action planning
Operations
Leads business planning, forecasting, and monthly sales performance reviews with a demonstrated ability to manage budgets is required
Ensures all business activities within the team are executed in line with company policies, procedures, and global and local guidelines.
Ensures monitoring systems are in place and being managed effectively to evaluate sales force effectiveness e.g., Company CRM databases
What you will bring to the role
You will be an experienced, tenured, and trusted sales leader who thrives in an environment that enables empowerment to make great outcomes possible, and in turn, embrace a high level of accountability for leading a high performing team.
Demonstrated experience as a successful sales leader, approximately >5 years within the biopharmaceutical industry with a specialised portfolio.
Deep experience in Key account management and specialist sales, with experience in functions outside sales (e.g., marketing) highly desirable
Extensive experience building and leading successful teams, and inspiring diverse team thinking to collaborate and perform at their highest level.
Seen as a highly effective leader in building new relationships efficiently with KOLs and other stakeholders
Strong leadership qualities such as having the ability to attract, motive and retain talent and drive a culture of collaboration, engagement, and motivation.
Experience in building positive team culture grounded in organisational values.
Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and OPEX.
Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, and negotiation skills are required to provide clear and concise analysis of quantitative and qualitative concepts.
Advanced analytical skills and ability to identify, understand, and break down complex issues and problems into solutions that drive performance.
Proven excellence in project management and effectively managing multiple priorities.
Requires a BA or BS degree, preferably in the sciences or business-related disciplines, with master’s or Postgraduate qualifications highly desirable.
