The Associate Director, Strategy, Planning & Operations for the Regeneron Obesity Center (ROC) and Internal Medicine will partner with the Head, Regeneron Obesity Center (ROC) Strategy & Business Operations and SVP, Internal Medicine and ROC to build and optimize a growing department. We believe you will drive day-to-day operations, annual departmental planning, goal setting, and objectives tracking, resource and finance management, hiring and space planning logistics, and lead onboarding and training initiatives for the department in partnership with broader GD and G&A functions. We recognize that this Associate Director plays a key role in setting and maintaining ROC/Internal Medicine’s culture, responsible for off/on-site planning, team building, and other initiatives to build a collaborative and effective team environment. We need you to work closely with the administrative staff, and oversee centralized healthcare provider contracting activities and other centralized administrative coordination for the group. We feel this role will be both strategic and tactical, requiring a nimble problem solver with strong interpersonal skills, strong organizational skills and attention to detail, discernment, the ability to set up logical systems of working, and importantly to be a positive motivator leading in the Regeneron Way.
A typical day may include the following:Departmental goal setting, management, and deliveryAnnual performance processes, talent management reviews and development activities with HRResource and budget management for department with FinanceSpace planning for all functions in ROC/IMHiring strategy and management, including interviewing/hiring logistics, JD creation, tracking, and working with TA on efficient hiring and onboarding processesLead onboarding and training initiatives, including guiding role-based onboarding and training curriculum, to support new hires and ensure they have a welcoming, efficient, and effective onboarding experienceInternal departmental communicationsThis role may be for you if:Ability to work effectively and provide steady, empathetic leadership in a collaborative, fast-paced environment with competing prioritiesHigh level of leadership maturity with the ability to handle confidential or sensitive information with the utmost discretion and confidence to exercise sound judgementHighly organized and detail oriented, while also demonstrating the ability to synthesize information and think strategicallyHighly self-motivated, flexible, proactive, proven ability to follow through and meet deadlines under pressureDemonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization, including senior leadershipExperience in contributing or leading cross-functional strategic change initiativesTo be considered, we are looking for candidates to have 10 years of experience focused on drug development and/or project management with a bachelor's degree.
