He or She is responsible for being able to support to design the protection circuit for battery, as well as testing products to verify that the hardware is working correctly as intended, with supervision from other electrical engineers, supervisors, managers and, or project team members from other departments. + Develop schematic, BOM and layout for battery protection circuit, using Zuken software development tools. EE1 receives close supervision in design. + Test the basic functions of protection circuit based on test procedure and create test reports. EE1 receives close supervision in testing. + Support in design review of the product with Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Product Engineering, Quality Assurance, Procurement, Project Management PM, Certifications, etc. during development. + Discussions is led by other Electrical Engineers and managers, EE1 should support as needed. + Prepare and release official documentation and information. Managers and other EEs will support, check, and approve. + Develop simple electrical test procedure for battery. Managers and other EEs will support and check + No direct management or budget responsibility. **Qualifications** **What You'll Bring:** **Education and Experience** + BS in Electrical Engineer preferred + Requires less than 2 years of relevant experience. + Experience with CAD software. + Experience with bench laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, function generator, power supplies and DMM. + Experience with MS Office and other normal PC programs. + Competencies + Knowledge of discrete semiconductor devices is required such as Mosfet, BJT, Diode, Zener, Varistor, Thermal Fuse, etc. preferred + Knowledge of analog and digital circuit is required. + Knowledge of battery protection circuit is not required but is beneficial. + Knowledge of communication protocol, such as I2C, SMBus, HDQ, CAN, RS232, RS485, is not required but is beneficial. + Understanding of UL 2054 or IEC62133 and UNDOT 38.3 + Analytical, good technical foundation, problem solver. Should be innovative, take the initiative to address problems and find solutions **Communications** + Technical writing and speaking in English is clear enough to be understood by native English and non-native English speakers. + Required level of persuasion is low to moderate. The wage range of $70,000 - $80,000 is just one component of Panasonic’s total package. Actual compensation varies depending on the individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
