Engineer performs process design, mechanical design, Packaging system design, equipment layout, Flow analysis and selection of components to be integrated into packages. This role provides engineering support for new product development and operational optimization as required to maximize their availability and reliability.
**Job Responsibilities:**
+ Perform conceptual, FEED, Studies, and detailed analyses and design the Gas Turbine Packaging Systems per design codes and standards.
+ Sizing the components like filters, regulators, Heaters, Coolers and Selection of Instruments, Valves & other components based on the process requirements and review with business partners.
+ Perform hand calculations like pressure drop, Flow path, temperature etc.
+ Interface with all disciplines to complete the design & validation.
+ Create Technical specification for instruments, valves, filters and process equipment and to collaborate with Procurement team to evaluate the technical offers & provide technical recommendations.
+ Develop P&ID for Gas Turbine Packaging Systems like Fuel, Lube Oil, Compressor Seal, etc.,
+ Strong knowledge on material properties and their performance considering offshore & Onshore loading conditions.
+ Must apply practical design considerations and utilize technical knowledge to achieve design objectives relative to manufacturability, cost, quality and durability.
+ Support innovation by applying the most effective Design solution for new product development.
+ Continuously challenges self-skills in functional area and stays current with industry developments in one’s field of expertise.
+ Become part of the product team and form close working relationships by understanding the whole system function and presenting solutions and design direction to the design community in an insightful and timely manner.
**Basic Qualification:**
+ BE Mechanical Engineering.
+ Minimum 3-4 years of relevant experience.
+ Good communication, organizational, teaming and analytical skills are a must.
**Preferred Candidates:**
+ Expertise in system & process knowledge in O&G and Power generation industry.
+ Ability to produce design layouts using 3D Modelling software (CREO / SolidWorks / Inventor or ANSYS Space claim).
+ Strong knowledge in Packaging systems & components.
+ Strong knowledge in welding symbols and Standards – API, ASME, ISA, ANSI & DIN.
+ Field experience, exposure in RFQ and hands on experience in Windchill & BOP.
+ Knowledge on rotating equipments like centrifugal compressors, pumps, ...
