Associate Engineer - Reman Detailing

Together, we are building a better world, so we can all enjoy living in it. **Job Duties/Responsibilities may** **include, but are not limited to:** + The Position is responsible for End-to-End Product support for Reman Engine Arrangements and Engine Components. + The candidate should participate in Reman Engines NPI programs and should be able to Configure BOM, complete VDRA, validate and fix issues related to Virtual build. + The Incumbent should have the capability to resolve ECR's from manufacturing plant and drive actions with respect to print release. + Capable of Validating/decision making on original equipment changes and its impact to Reman products. + The Candidate should have a good knowledge on Various remanufacturing/Salvage techniques of Engine components. + Desired Product knowledge of Caterpillar Diesel/Gas Engines and Engine Components (Cylinder Head, Cylinder Block, Piston and Conn rod, rotating components, Injectors, Turbochargers) + Capable of ensuring the Re-Manufacturability and Reman/Reuse decision making for various Engine components. + Capable of generating appropriate dimensions, tolerances, GD&T and specifications meeting corporate standards. + Responsible to communicate with the international process partners for getting inputs and sharing the outcomes. + With Strong Technical Know How, Problem Solving & Accountability should be able to generate Pull from Process partners. **Required Qualifications:** 6-10 years of experience in Modelling & Detailing of Castings/Forgings components – Engine components will be added advantage. BE/Associated Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering Major. Proficiency in Creo Modelling & Detailing. Ability to apply standard Caterpillar and/or industry design standards and specifications. Critical Competencies - Initiative, Accountability, Communication Skills (Written/Oral) Modelling & Detailing/ Manufacturing Knowledge on Castings/Forging and Engine components. Ability to effectively communicate in English in work environment Strong initiative, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Excellent problem-solving and people skills Demonstrated sense of urgency when it comes to serving internal and external customers.
