Associate Software Test Engineers work with dedicated product teams to ensure that our products deliver against our customers’ unmet needs. They help instill a testing mindset within the team to improve overall quality and team velocity. ?They are responsible for ensuring our software functions the way it is intended by creating testing plans and strategy, creating and executing various forms of manual testing, and solving issues.  They work side by side with software engineers to improve overall software quality and recommend opportunities for improvement.

Engineering is the function that applies principles and techniques of engineering, mathematics, and computer/data science to the design, development, and testing of applications. The Product & Technology engineering family consists of software development, testing, database, devops, virtualization & network.

During the first six months, you will: 

Perform in-sprint testing?work on stories where the acceptance criteria are clearly defined Analyze requirements, user stories, and design specifications to participate of development of comprehensive test cases and checklists. Perform functional, system, and exploratory testing for web and mobile applications. Ask questions and seek guidance when needed Communicate clearly with developers about issues found during testing Plan for future testing by setting up test scenarios that can be reused Work within the scope of a team with specific guidance from manager and mentors Provide support to Software Test Engineer to monitor product quality and resolve gaps in quality Validate user interface (UI) components, usability, and accessibility to ensure compliance with design specifications. Test workflows and edge cases to uncover bugs and ensure a seamless user experience. Maintain and update test documentation such as test plans, test case repositories, and checklists. 

 Required Experience:  

Bachelor's degree in a computer science, engineering, technology related field or 0-2 years of equivalent testing experience Basic understanding of manual testing techniques and testing phases (functional, regression, and exploratory testing)Basic knowledge of testing web and mobile applications (iOS/Android)Basic knowledge of test management tools (JIRA, TestRail, Qase or Zephyr) Familiarity with software testing best practices in an agile environment Must be adaptable to change and have a willingness to learn  Must have a strong sense of curiosity  Must commit to their role and take responsibility for their tasks   Must be able to work effectively in an agile and team environment Must be effective and creative in problem solving Good communication skills 

Nice to have Experience:  

Basic understanding of API testing using tools like Postman, ProxymanAwareness of Agile testing methodologies and workflowsFamiliarity with cross-browser testing tools like BrowserStack/ SauceLabs Familiarity with test automation tools like (Cypress, Playwright, Selenium etc..) Basic knowledge of API testing
