Position Summary

We are seeking an Associate Field Engineer like you to join our team!

Our Associate Field Engineer maintains up-to-date and comprehensive knowledge of the organization's and competitors' products and/or services; works under direct supervision; has good knowledge of engineering principles and practices; applies knowledge of standardized rules, procedures, and operations within own area; determines a course of action based on guidelines and established standards; and supports the achievement of goals through own personal effort. This position is responsible for planning own work, assessing work progress, and adjusting efforts to meet goals, and is accountable for meeting targets that impact the immediate work area. This position exchanges standard/basic technical or nontechnical information with colleagues, immediate superiors, and/or customers; may be required to interpret or clarify technical information to aid understanding; and conveys straightforward information to nondivergent audiences.

ResponsibilitiesIn this role, your primary responsibilities will include:Market QualityMonitor product performance in the field – search, identify and pre-qualify evaluation users. Initiate, track, report and follow up on field evaluations of prototype, in-line and competitors' commercial products. Determine and confirm product performance in the field for product development purposes. Investigate and initiate new product requests based on field evaluation and market awareness.Inspect tires for warranty consideration – conduct on-site warranty adjustments at dealer locations. Direct interface with dealer personnel on warranty items. Create and issue return tire reports (RTR’s).Participate in surveys – coordinate and participate in surveys for information on current product performance and usage in the field. Coordinate and collect tires for regional tire surveys.Deploy mobility solutions/Technology to better understand effect on variation in field validation testingService QualityAttend and assist at Texas Proving Ground events, regional drive-and-learn events, and new tire product launches. Complete special projects as directed by the Field Solutions Engineering Manager (FSEM), Quality Assurance Corporate Office, Americas Technical Center (ATC)

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineeringAutomotive and/or customer service-related experience

Bachelor’s degree; or equivalent work experience
