Associate Finance Analyst

Find your purpose as an Associate Finance Analyst with CentraCare! The Associate Finance Analyst reviews and prepares the interpretation of financial data, financial projections, and results for purposes of identifying financial performance improvement opportunities (cost savings and revenue enhancement opportunities). Performs various analysis in support of business initiatives, economic evaluations, and planning functions. This position will work closely with other Finance and leadership staff.

Schedule:

Full-time 80 hours every 2 weeks Mon-Fri 8:00a-5:00p Work from Home

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance or Accounting is required. 2yrs minimum of experience in accounting or finance related role preferred. Certified Mgmt Accountant (CMA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) desired. 1 year of experience in a health care setting preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required. Spreadsheet skills required. Ability to perform and remain organized in a fast-paced environment. Ability to take initiative and work independently in an environment with changing priorities. Strong attention to detail, the ability to multi-task, and exceptional organizational skills.

Core functions:

Responsible for detailed financial review and analysis of monthly performance for assigned entities and/or departments. Identifies financial status by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts. Improves financial status by analyzing results; monitoring variances; identifying trends; recommending actions to management. Recommends actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses, studying proposed changes in methods and materials. Participates in various work groups to develop, implement, modify, and document financial performance improvement. Utilizes reports using the management reporting, financial planning and decision support databases for performance monitoring and reporting. Provides support to leadership in the use of financial systems and interpreting financial reports. Gathers data, performs analysis and presents reports to various audiences. Provides summaries that provide concise information for use in decision making. Provides recommendation for changes on processes or practices that optimize efficiencies and/or reduces total cost of delivering health care services. Assists in the annual and long-range business planning process in coordination with operations leadership.
Identifies financial performance opportunities and works collaboratively with leadership to monitor and achieve improvement results. Protects operations by keeping financial information confidential. Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing publications. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
