Associate Finance Director, China Orthopaedics

Position Summary
As the Finance Associated Director for China Orthopaedics, this position is responsible for the delivery and analysis of financial performance, assessing and quantifying risks and opportunities for the business, and establishing a strong compliance environment. The individual will be directly responsible for collaboratively setting business strategy, executing the strategy for positive results and providing support & partnership to Orthopaedics commercial leadership.
The role reports directly to CFO & VP Finance MT China but also requires strong partnership with MedTech China Orthopaedics GM and LT in China.
The role is responsible for managing all Orthopaedics China franchise financial performance and Finance team management – Performance Management, Financial Control & Reporting, Strategic financial planning, Budget and Forecast, Team Management & Compliance etc.

Given the market dynamics and government healthcare, reform initiatives in recent years such as volume-based-procurement (VBP) and evolved competitive landscape, speed of local innovation and business execution remain key priorities to deliver on business and financial commitments as we Lead and Shape the next chapter of Orthopaedics. With the high business complexities, the role is expected to navigate through these new challenges while mobilizing to gain opportunities
The position is based in Shanghai, China.
Responsibilities and Scope
+ Accountable for delivering compliant results in accordance with GAAP and Johnson& Johnson Worldwide Procedures.
+ Responsible for coordination of the Business Plan, Mid-term and long-term Strategic Plan, and financial updates, setting financial targets and monitoring execution.
+ Key business partner to China MedTech Orthopaedics GM and corresponding leadership teams in strategy development, resource prioritization and performance improvement.
+ Finance responsibility for the performance of China Orthopaedics
+ Leader staff of 4
+ Drive talent agenda and future capability building within MedTech China finance.
+ Special projects as required.
Financial Controls and Reporting
+ Corporate governance - oversee China Orthopaedics critical business processes and addressing risks
+ Oversee the management and coordination of all financial reporting required by laws, regulations, or internal demands. Ensure the accuracy, integrity and timeliness of financial reporting and ensure compliance with reporting standards.
Budget and Forecast
+ Oversee the budget and work plan, including actual performance control.
+ Prepare short-mid-long-term forecasts.
+ Analyze and provide financial insights of commercial, operational, financial opportunities on China Ortho results.
Performance Management
+ Work with leadership team to determine the key strategic priorities and develop the appropriate metrics to manage the organization to achieve the goals.
Team management
+ Professionally manage the finance teams, provide objectives, guidance and performance follow up.
+ Develop talents, succession plan and training.
Compliance
+ Steward and guardian of the compliance in China Ortho.
**Qualifications**
Required Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent
Required Years of Related Experience: 10+ years of finance experience with experience in execution in a business unit setting
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
+ Further developing & adapting Finance: Strategic thinker for finance, who could improve & adapt finance in the context of rapid change in the business and markets, act as a change agent and bring the necessary transformation or disruption to life and implement it.
+ Fulfilling the finance duties and responsibilities, while integrating into the business and working closely with the business and the finance team.
+ Strong business partner, involving him/herself in the discussion in the business, and bring new perspective and gain traction with the business and markets.

+ Demonstrated results orientation as a Finance leader in a business unit setting.
+ Significant business acumen
+ Able to shape and drive initiatives within a matrix organization across commercial, Supply Chain, R&D, business development, and across multiple functions.
