Job Purpose:
The Innovation Associate Finance Manager for Ice Cream is a key partner to the Ice Cream Innovation cross-functional team. The primary role of the Innovation AFM is to provide financial support for the Innovation funnel, including project business cases and strategic planning. The AFM will support the cross-functional team to drive value creation and inform decision making.
Key responsibilities include:
Partner with marketing, supply chain, R&D, and CS&P to build innovation business cases estimating gross and incremental financial impact of Ice Cream projectsSupport Ice cream out-year strategic planningMonthly tracking and reporting of innovation actuals performance and funnel value roll-up vs. targets, providing actionable feedback to the cross-functional teamAnalyze business opportunities to drive gross margin improvement across the Ice Cream portfolioLiaise with global finance to further agenda and ensure global and local alignmentAdditional Responsibilities:
Work with supply chain and supply chain finance on innovation costing and innovation waste analysisAct as the finance steward to drive improvement in the innovation costing processAd hoc strategic and funnel value analysisWhat You'll Need to Succeed:
Bachelor’s degree required with MBA preferredConsumer products experience is an advantage but not requiredRelevant business experience required (3 - 5 years) including experience in 1 – 3 core finance areas (Brand, Supply Chain, Customer & Channel Development, Planning & Analysis, Controllers) preferredExperience communicating financial acumen effectively with all levels of the organizationLeadership:
You have strong Business Acumen: you have demonstrated ownership in company and customer P&L management as well as understand how to run a business. You possess strong acumen and demonstrate skillets in net revenue management.You’re a born leader: Lead the multifunctional effort with customer counterparts; develop and execute joint business plans; manage NSV and trade investment; manage and lead retail initiatives.You love to win, and have fun doing it: Drive strategic relationships and accelerated growth, while operating within approved Trade Marketing parameters and driving trade investment efficiency.You’re a dot connector: Routinely interface with multiple internal and external stakeholders; Balance individual customer needs while ensuring total Market integrity.You are a self-starter: You love working with ambiguity, developing new solutions and influencing change with a strong bias for action.What You Will Need To Succeed:
Undergraduate degree is required8+ years’ combined business development manager and customer business manager requiredClub channel Account Management with CPG is preferred.Experience in P&L, financial management and trade marketing is a must.Working knowledge of Nielsen/IRI, Trade Promotion Management and Customer POS Data is strongly desiredMust be able to effectively relate with multiple levels of management, both internally and externallyMust be a strategic thinker that can work effectively, and in a highly collaborative mannerPay: The pay range for this position is $86,100 to $156,600. Unilever takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs.
Bonus: This position is bonus eligible.
Long-Term Incentive (LTI): This position is LTI eligible.
