We have an exciting opportunity to join our Leawood, KS branch as an Associate Financial Advisor! This role is supporting a top Financial Advisor Team and will be focused on building deep connections with clients that will last for generations.

As an Associate Financial Advisor (AFA), you be building meaningful relationships daily. You will grow existing relationships and prospect to create new wealth management relationships. We provide a white-glove experience to our clients so consistency and professionalism are key to our success. Come ready to share your ideas with your entrepreneurial mindset and collaborate with our team working toward a unified goal. We need a self-starter, someone adaptable to dynamic markets and client sentiment and an always-on learning mindset.

What will you do?

Study for and obtain the Associate Financial Advisor program’s required licensingStudy and pass series 7 examStudy and pass series 66 and life and health insurance examsComplete Associate Financial Advisor program assignments within the curriculum’s timelinesRBC tools and technology introductionRBC policies and proceduresProducts and services—including scenarios and case studies, this may also include introducing additional products and servicesCompliancePlanning, marketing, prospecting, and servicing including collecting and analyzing client’s financial information to educate new and existing clientsReport activities and results per the Associate Financial Advisor program’s requirementsImplement specific coaching from the Associate Financial Advisor sales managerGet familiar with RBC Wealth ManagementMaintain awareness of financial news via company-approved online sites, meetings and various news media to support and advance professional development toward becoming a RBC Financial AdvisorParticipate in ongoing professional development opportunitiesBe knowledgeable and comply with all regulations and rules of various regulatory agencies and company policiesComplete all RBC WM new employee orientation online modules and others as required

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experienceBasic understanding of financial markets, insurance and taxesAbility to obtain Series 7 and Series 66 within 120 days of beginning employment at RBCAbility to take initiative and function independently with an entrepreneurial mindsetExcellent interpersonal and marketing skillsDemonstrated ability to develop and promote business; a track record of success Ability to make solid decisions in a fast paced, quick turnaround environment
