Associate Financial Advisor- Valley Consulting Group

The Valley Consulting Group, an established financial services practice for Thrivent with offices in Albuquerque, NM and Mesa, AZ is looking for a full-time Associate Financial Advisor for either of our locations. Position summary:

This role is critical to our client experience, and we are seeking a candidate who aligns with our team values of integrity, respect, honesty and a desire to achieve a high level of success while maintaining a healthy work/life balance. If selected for this position, you would work side-by-side with our veteran lead advisors to provide exceptional service, financial planning and investment guidance to new and existing clients. The Associate reports to and is employed/contracted by the financial representative. Thrivent Investment Management Inc. is the sponsor for FINRA registration and Thrivent Financial for Lutherans is the sponsor for insurance licensure.
Salary and benefits are commensurate with experience level and licensure status, but include a base salary and commission, employer sponsored retirement plan and paid holidays/vacation time. This position requires both in office and working remotely.

         

          


Position Responsibilities:

Support lead advisors and team members with new and existing client reviews, service and planning processes.Maintain accurate and detailed client records and notes and ensure confidentiality with sensitive client information.Represent the team in the community and attract new clientele.Participate in team meetings and client events.Maintain and execute a personal growth and continuous learning plan.

Position Qualifications:

Industry experience, licensing (LHA, Series 7/66) and designations preferred but not required, however licensing will become a condition of employment after hire.Ability to work independently and within a team and to prioritize and manage multiple time-sensitive tasks.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required and experience with client data base systems, investment software and tools are a plus.

As part of the sponsoring financial advisor recruiting/hiring/contracting process, a verification of a candidate's background will be made to complete the process. Fingerprints will be required as part of FINRA registration process for submission to the Federal Bureau of Investigation for review against nationwide fingerprint records.
