Associate - Fixed Income Syndicate - Investment Banking Capital Markets

Join us at Barclays as an Associate within our Fixed Income Syndicate Investment Banking function in Paris. In this role you will be a dedicated resource to deliver and fulfil Barclays Europe Leveraged Finance Syndication. Working with product and line Managers across Syndication and Leveraged Finance Origination, you will actively communicate and announce external deals, conduct market soundings, collaborate on sales discussions, carry out pricing calls, receive orders from Investors and release allocations. Furthermore, you will collate and share investor feedback and acceptance of agreed issue prices and allocations with Issuer Clients.

To be successful as an Associate, you should have experience with:

A prior Investment Banking Leveraged Finance role or syndication role within Leveraged FinanceLeveraged Finance transaction knowledgeDebt Capital Markets - product knowledge and working backgroundManaging multiple internal and external stakeholders to deliver results

An understanding of and proven skills in CreditAbility to position Credit on the risk spectrumFinancial Modelling with an understanding of how to output models to Investors and clientsAbility to understand and fulfil regulatory requirement

The role is based in our Paris, France office.

This role is deemed as a Controlled Function role under the Central Bank of Ireland Fitness and Probity Regulations and may require the role holder to hold mandatory regulatory qualifications or the minimum qualifications to meet internal company benchmarks.

Purpose of the role

To raise capital and manage the financial risk of clients in collaboration with multiple financial institutions, including financial advisory services, identification of market opportunities, research, economic analysis.  

Accountabilities

Development and maintenance of strong relationships with corporate and institutional clients to understand their financing needs and objectives and to develop fixed income syndicated capital market offerings.  .Development and maintenance of complex financial models to assess the value of assets, companies, or securities and identify the most appropriate structuring of capital raising initiatives, including loan, bond or derivatives syndications.  .Identification, assessment, and management of risks associated with syndicated fixed income capital markets transactions and development of risk mitigation strategies in alignment with regulatory requirements, including the increase in complexity and potential conflicts of interest.  .Research, financial data analysis and continued development of market insights and investment recommendations.  .Collaboration with cross functional and cross institution teams to ensure successful execution of syndicated fixed income capital market transactions.  .
