Associate/Full Professor of Finance

The Jack C. Massey College of Business at Belmont University is seeking applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Finance at the rank of Associate/Full Professor beginning August 1, 2024.

Job responsibilities will include developing and teaching courses in finance, financial planning, and economics along with supporting finance coursework relating to our general education, Honors Program, and the Belmont Data Collaborative (BDC) initiative. The faculty member will advise undergraduate students; nurture student-faculty research; engage in projects that allow for multi-collaboration between peers and colleges; establish a program of scholarly work that results in publication in scholarly outlets; participate in department, college and university committees and activities; perform professional and community service; and identify and cultivate relationships in the finance and analytics industry.  The faculty member will assume the following primary duties and responsibilities: 

Complete 24 workload hours, or equivalent, per academic year.Advise undergraduate students.Mentor students in research and other class-related projects.Nurture student-faculty research and engage in projects that allow for multi-collaboration between peers and colleges.Establish a program of scholarly work that results in publication in scholarly outlets and advances professional development.Engage in activities to support the mission and vision of Belmont University and the college in which you teach.Participate in department, college, university committees along with campus activities.Participate in a local church and perform professional and community service.Abide by all relevant university, college as well as department procedures and policies.Manage online grading and records management system.Timely submission of book orders, if textbooks are required.Maintain regular office hours.Work effectively with a wide range of constituencies.The above statements describe the job’s essential responsibilities and requirements.
