AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.

Amazon Web Services came to China in 2013, and has been relentlessly investing and expanding our infrastructure and business since then. Amazon Web Services launched its China (Beijing) Region (operated by Sinnet) in September 2016 and its China (Ningxia) Region (operated by NWCD) in December 2017. In 2019, Amazon Web Services added a new region in Hong Kong, making China the only country with three Amazon Web Services regions aside from the U.S. In 2022, Amazon Web Services launched Local Zone in Taipei. Amazon Web Services has also established an AI lab in Shanghai and two IoT labs in Shenzhen and Taipei. The Amazon Web Services Partner Network has thousands of Partners in China. We are looking for an accomplished Go-to-market professional to play a big role on the Greater China Business Development team to drive business growth of Amazon Web Services (AWS) GenAI services.

Extracting insights and actionable information from GenAI requires a broad array of technology that can work with data efficiently, scalable, and cost-effectively. With tens of services offers the most complete platform for GenAI/ML including a comprehensive set of services to handle every step of the data and AI process chain including GenAI infra, framework and models as well as applications. These services are powerful, flexible, and yet simple to use, enabling organizations to put their raw data to work quickly and easily.

As a Tech Business Development, your responsibility is to work with front-end BD/SA to drive and expedite GenAI service adoption, fast react to customer's asks and bridging service GTMS together to push service team's help for key deals. You’ll also work closely with product/service teams to help them evolve the products/services and address issues, concerns, and requests from the field.
The ideal candidate will possess both a business background that enables them to track and explore opportunities and a certain level of technical knowledge. The candidate should have strong capability on self-motivation and be eager to learn new things everyday. A keen sense of ownership, drive, and scrappiness is a must.

Key job responsibilities
- Help define the market segments, customer base, and industry verticals we target within Greater China and set a strategic business development plan for target markets and ensure it's in line with the strategic direction
- Identify specific prospects/partners to approach while communicating the specific value proposition for their business and use case; work closely with the customer base to ensure they are successful using AWS web services, making sure they have the technical resources required
- Understand the technical requirements of our customers and work closely with the internal development teams to guide the direction of our product offerings; experienced with account management (Enterprise, SMB and startup) and solution selling ability
- Relevant technical experience/knowledge is helpful, such as: database systems, core distributed computing concepts, fundamentals of cloud computing and virtualization, big data concepts, storage systems, content delivery networks (CDNs) etc. with ability to go deep enough on technical aspects related to various Big Data & Analytics technologies

A day in the life
1) Customer meetings to learn their business needs and pain points.
2) Understand product positioning in the market and in front of competitors; design Go-to-Market strategy of the product and track the results with adjustment during execution
3) Alignment with front-end teams (BD/SA) to scale the business; collaborate with WW service teams to feedback with findings gained in the field to help product enhancement & iteration; Partner Synergy as either sell to/with/through them.
