Associate General Counsel, Privacy
**Summary:** Meta is seeking a highly motivated privacy attorney to advise on complex and novel privacy legal issues that affect products across the Meta. Develop and drive global company strategy and execution of scalable solutions on key privacy topics including sensitive data, biometric data, and more. Day-to-day, you'll work closely with product and privacy counsel and Product Compliance & Privacy teams, as well as other legal, product, engineering, policy, operations, and business teams.This role requires demonstrated legal and business judgment and strategic thinking, as well as analytical and communication skills. You will need a substantive understanding of global privacy laws and a passion for new technology. We are looking for someone who can both work independently and collaborate effectively across functions, including Meta’s privacy, product, legal and policy teams. **Required Skills:** Associate General Counsel, Privacy Responsibilities: 1. Drive high-impact initiatives to meet evolving global privacy legal requirements, by advising product, business and legal stakeholders across Meta. 2. Facilitate a consistent and sustainable approach to complex and novel privacy issues across the company by developing strategies, driving leadership alignment, and counseling on product implications. 3. Maintain subject matter expertise in key privacy areas and evaluate impact of relevant global legal requirements, regulatory guidance, and enforcement actions. 4. Develop resources and tools that enable counsel across the company to provide durable and consistent advice on privacy issues. **Minimum Qualifications:** Minimum Qualifications: 5. J.D. degree (or foreign equivalent) and membership in at least one US state bar 6. 10+ years of legal experience, including at a law firm and/or in-house experience 7. Demonstrated expertise advising on global privacy laws, regulations, and industry guidelines, especially those relevant for social media, ad tech and internet companies 8. Proven legal analysis, communication and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment **Preferred Qualifications:** Preferred Qualifications: 9.
