Associate General Counsel
The ideal candidate for this role in AIG’s Data, Digital and Cyber Legal Group will be a strategy-oriented attorney who embraces a dynamic advisory practice. You will craft legal solutions that protect AIG from a complex set of risks presented by cutting edge data, digital, and technology issues, while simultaneously moving AIG’s business forward. In this role, you will support AIG’s global businesses and corporate functions by: • Advising on legal and regulatory issues regarding data and information governance, data analytics, digitization, and use of AI and other emerging technologies in the context of financial services;• Partnering with technology, operations, business, legal, compliance and regulatory colleagues globally to support AIG’s digitization and automation initiatives;• In this client-facing role, taking ownership of, and helping to promote, the GLCR Department's positive culture and reputation; and• Serving as a thought leader in the community on specialized legal and regulatory topics for internal and external stakeholders, including industry groups. The successful candidate will: • Have a J.D. degree from an accredited U.S. law school and license to practice law.• Have 10+ years of experience as an attorney.• Have significant experience either in-house or at a law firm advising on legal and regulatory issues around data, data analytics, and digitization in the context of financial services. • Have excellent drafting and communication skills.• Be collaborative, nimble, responsive, and customer-focused.• CIPP-US Certification Preferred. #LI-TT1 Enjoy benefits that take care of what matters At AIG, our people are our greatest asset.
