BSNC is hiring an Associate General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer to support our growth and mission.  Under the direction of General Counsel and with direct reporting to the board of directors, this role involves collaborating with key stakeholders to identify legal requirements, manage external legal relationships, and offer strategic guidance across BSNC’s companies.

* This role offers the flexibility of a hybrid work schedule, allowing you to work both remotely and from our offices in either Anchorage, Colorado Springs, Baltimore, or Washington, D.C.

Responsibilities

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop, oversee, maintain, monitor and audit BSNC’s Corporate Ethics and Compliance Program.  Respond to and investigate violations of laws, regulations, and policy by reviewing/ investigating, self-reporting or retention of outside counsel for civil or criminal matters.Manage BSNC’s Ethics Hotline and employee compliance website.Advise and counsel various departments on diverse legal matters, leveraging knowledge and experience with construction projects, employment law, government contracting, and natural resources law. Work closely with operations teams to identify and mitigate risks associated with business operation.Monitor legal developments and update stakeholders on pertinent changes to ensure ongoing standards meet all legal and regulatory requirements.Report to BSNC Board of Directors’ Audit & Finance Committee on corporate compliance. Oversee outside counsel and litigation.Perform other duties as assigned by the General Counsel. Qualifications

Required (Minimum) Qualifications

J.D from an accredited law school.Licensed to practice law in any U.S. state. At least 5 years of relevant legal experience.

Shareholder Preference.  BSNC gives hiring, promotion, training and retention preference to BSNC shareholders, BSNC shareholder descendants and BSNC shareholder spouses.
