Associate HR Manager – Manufacturing Plant
Position Overview We are currently seeking an Associate Human Resources Manager to join our People & Culture team and support the International Truck Manufacturing plant in San Antonio. Join a fun and fast-paced team in a multi-shift assembly site, where we produce class 6 – 8 ICE and EV commercial trucks with approximately 1,000 employees. Responsibilities Provide Human Resources leadership to the San Antonio Manufacturing plant in a multi-shift heavy assembly environment. Partner with people leaders and employees regarding policies and programs and provide recommendations consistent with our strategic direction. Advise and coach people leaders on performance, pay decisions, recruitment, discipline, termination, work force planning, accommodations, and other personnel actions. Partner with International’s People & Culture shared services teams including Talent Acquisition, HRIS, Compensation, Benefits, Payroll, Compliance and Disability. Develop and execute People & Culture programs and plans, including but not limited to talent development, team building, engagement, recruitment, training facilitation, policy creation, etc… Utilize analytics and key metrics to identify trends and opportunities. Develop and execute action plans based on data. Audit and report key metrics on headcount, attrition, tenure, staffing needs, OT and other areas as needed. Manage multiple projects simultaneously executing deliverables to established deadlines. Support an open-door culture with engaging activities and recognition programs to maintain a positive work environment. Participate in continuous process improvement and new process development projects Efficiently problem solve with creativity and a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment. Conduct investigations in a timely manner and make sound recommendations. Support new employee onboarding, employee and manager training, relationships with local universities, organizations, and events in the community. Maintain a visible presence throughout the manufacturing facility, driving positive engagement with employees. Maintain confidentiality and compliance with federal and state labor laws including EEO, wage & hour, and regulatory agencies. Assist with creation, documentation and implementation of policies, programs and processes. Must be flexible to work recovery production days to support operations (extended hours / occasional weekends as needed) Travel < 15% Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s degree At least 6 years of human resources or labor experience At least 1 year lead experience OR Master’s degree At least 4 years of human resources or labor experience At least 1 year lead experience OR At least 8 years of human resources or labor experience At least 1 year lead experience Additional Requirements Qualified candidates, excluding current International Motors employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. International Motors does not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status) Desired Skills Experience in manufacturing environment with 200+ employees Operates with a sense of urgency and ability to shift priorities as needed Ability to work with employees of all levels and develop trusting relationships Robust knowledge of federal, state and local employment practices and laws. Experience leading and conducting talent development and succession planning activities and programs Effective training facilitation and presentation skills Experience with leadership coaching and employee development planning Highly detail-oriented with strong verbal, written communication and presentation skills. Demonstrates technological intuitiveness Strong proficiency in Outlook, PowerPoint and MS Teams. Advanced Excel skills preferred. Experience in SAP, SuccessFactors, and Kronos a plus.
