Associate Human Resource Business Partner

Classification: Exempt

Division: Human Resources

Reports to: Sr. Human Resources Manager

Travel: 20%

Work Environment: Hybrid (remote with a one day in-office requirement)

Location: Dallas, TX, Atlanta, GA or San Diego, CA

Salary Range: $100,000-$115,000.

About the role: 
DUAL North America, Inc. is seeking an Associate Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to join the team.  The Associate HRBP acts as a strategic ally and resource for both employees and leadership, managing a range of HR functions. This role will merge the duties of an HR generalist with those of an entry-level HR Business Partner. You will allocate approximately 50% of your time to support administrative tasks and the other 50% to HRBP responsibilities, though this may vary depending on the needs of the business at any given time.  The skills required for this role include comprehensive knowledge of benefits administration, which includes medical benefits, 401K/retirement plans, leave of absence policies, and workers' compensation. Additionally, you will be responsible for overseeing the onboarding and offboarding processes.  From the viewpoint of the HR Business Partner (HRBP), this role focuses on overseeing and facilitating HR initiatives designed to improve the employee experience. Responsibilities encompass various areas, including employee relations, performance and talent management, diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) programs, wellness initiatives, employee engagement efforts, and organizational development projects.

Essential Functions:
•    Benefits Administration: Support the administration of benefits; manage employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, wellness initiatives, and leave programs.  Address employee inquiries about benefits and assist in ensuring our programs align with company objectives. Collaborate with vendors to resolve employee benefits issues and maintain cost-effectiveness.  Conduct open enrollment sessions and provide benefit education to employees.
•    HR Partnership: Work under the guidance of the Sr HR Manager to provide HR expertise on performance management, talent development, and organizational development, aligning initiatives with business goals and fostering a positive workplace culture.
•    Talent Management: Support talent management processes assisting managers in creating plans for employee growth and development, helping to drive engagement across the organization. 
•    Employee Relations & Support: Serve as a resource for employees, providing guidance on HR policies, addressing questions, and resolving issues as they arise. Support organizational restructuring as needed, conduct investigations to ensure fair and consistent practices as required, manage employee disciplinary steps, and terminations as necessary. 
•    Policy & Compliance Execution: Understand and maintain up-to-date knowledge of legal requirements and best practices to ensure our HR policies are always compliant, and employees adhere to federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. 
•    Leave of Absence Administration: Serve as the primary contact for employees requesting a leave of absence.  Educate employees and managers on company leave policies, including eligibility, procedures, and required documentation.  Ensure leave policies comply with local, state, and federal laws (e.g., FMLA, ADA, state-specific leave laws).  Provide clear guidance on short-term disability, parental leave, bereavement, unpaid leave, and other leave types offered by the organization.
•    Onboarding & Offboarding: Manage onboarding and offboarding responsibilities to maintain an effective transition for employees.  
•    Participate in cross-departmental projects that impact HR or company strategy.


Job Requirements (education, experience, skills): 
•    Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field 
•    3–5 years of progressive HR experience, including benefits administration (medical benefits, 401K/retirement plans, leave of absence policies, and workers' compensation) 
•    Entry-level HRBP experience
•    Analytical mindset with experience using Workday and data reporting tools.
•    Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
•    Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
•    Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills.
•    Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with knowledge of project management
