Associate I - Engineering Design

Role Proficiency:

Possess basic understanding of engineering principles in Electrical/ Mechanical. Work as a part of the team in all Electrical/ Mechanical CAD activities under the guidance of a Lead.

Outcomes:

Electrical:

     Development of 2D wire harness drawings conforming with customer requirements and industrial drafting standards.      Use 3D modelling module for parts and assembly.      Understand and analyse device and component technical data sheets.Mechanical:      Hydraulic Design: Design of hydraulic routings using Pro-E Wildfire      Structural Design: Design of parts and weld fabrications.      Weld Design: Design of welding structural components. Vehicle Integration and Assembly: Contribute to Mechanical or Electrical integration as a part of Vehicle integration and assembly

Job Description We are looking for PCB Design Engineer to develop new PCB designs and updating existing designs. Your prime responsibility includes but not limited to: CAD designs, execution planning, 1st level debug for issue isolation and reporting. Responsibilities • Understanding the requirements of the Design team and Mechanical Team and implement them in the PCB Layout. • Complete PCB Design from scratch to Gerber review and release, ensuring standards are met. • Interacting with Fabrication and Assembly house for PCB Fab and assembly status. • Involved in PCB layout review with customers and with PCB manufacturers. • DDR and non-DDR study with different combination of DR (trace width/spacing/length), different total layer allow, different placement or location on package/board, etc. • PCH study with different combination of DR (trace width/spacing/length), different total layer allow, different placement or location on package/board, etc. • Misc. CAD request (modifying/swapping traces, relocate/adding component, etc.) • Ad-hoc quick task/study • BOM creation/modification, create schematic symbol, create footprint, etc. • Actual routing of DDR, non-DDR traces according to one set of DR and identified layer. • Full product design including all/partial interfaces assignment as well as power assignment according to schematic that provided. Might include the component placement and constraint setting as well as other board design related request. • Test vehicle board design (e.g. assembly test vehicle, SI/PD measurement board, Impedance board, etc.) • Board placement study with component (single sided or double sided, different shape, different component/part solution, etc.) PCB Design Required Skills • High speed PCB Design using Cadence Allegro PCB Editor, Mentor Graphics (Xpedition VX). • Expertise in Net, Pin pair and combination-net (Xnets) length matching • Expertise in CAM setup and Gerber generation • Accustomed to designing PCB's with a high awareness of “Design for Manufacturing, Assembly, and Test” requirements • Expertise in Edge-Coupled and Broadside-Coupled Differential pairs and Designed impedance • Expertise in using Through–Hole, Blind, Buried, Micro & Power vias in PCB. • Good command on critical signal routing, cross talks, EMI, EMC, Clock signal, Mixed Signal Routings and Power plane distribution. • Experience in preparation of Fabrication and Assembly Drawings • Advanced knowledge of constraints and use of the constraint manager • Experience in documentation like PCB Guidelines, Processes, Checklists and Training materials.
