We are seeking a skilled and proactive Server Administrator to join our IT team in Bayan Lepas, Penang. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, configuring, and ensuring the reliability, availability, and performance of server infrastructures. This role requires strong technical expertise, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: Server Management: Install, configure, and maintain Windows/Linux servers and associated applications. Manage server virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V). Perform regular updates, patches, and security configurations. System Monitoring and Maintenance: Monitor server performance and troubleshoot hardware/software issues. Ensure system backups and disaster recovery solutions are in place and functional. Proactively identify and resolve potential server issues to minimize downtime. Network Administration: Collaborate with network teams to ensure seamless server-network integration. Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and other server-related network services. Security and Compliance: Implement and enforce security protocols to protect server systems. Conduct vulnerability assessments and apply necessary mitigations. Ensure compliance with organizational policies and industry standards. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate documentation of server configurations, processes, and changes.
