Job Title: Associate III - Product Design (User Research)
Overview:
The Associate III - Product Design is responsible for designing and developing human-centered digital products with a focus on ease of use and best-in-class interaction and visual design. The role involves collaboration with business, technology, and product teams to translate product vision into actionable design propositions.
Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the development of deliverables such as customer journeys, empathy maps, and opportunity maps.
- Establish the look and feel for various interfaces, including websites, mobile devices, apps, kiosks, games, and wearables.
- Create screen layouts that align with brand guidelines and reinforce the brand’s style and voice.
- Design user-centered interaction models, wireframes, low-fidelity and high-fidelity mock-ups, and interactive prototypes, including MVP beta and production-ready applications.
- Develop user interface elements and UX specifications, following Design Language Systems and brand guidelines.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including product engineers, product managers, business stakeholders, and other designers.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Product Design, Visual Communication, New Media Design, Universal Design, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in a digital design-related discipline.
- Knowledge and experience in user research methodologies such as stakeholder interviews, contextual inquiry, co-creation workshops, customer journey mapping, service blueprints, and design sprints.
- Experience in user validation and evaluation techniques including heuristic evaluation, usability/accessibility testing, and eye tracking.
- Experience facilitating Design Thinking workshops is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with tools such as Miro, Mural, Figma (proficient), Adobe XD, Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
- Experience in envisioning and designing for products/platforms and managing multiple complex design problems simultaneously.
- Understanding of web design and front-end development challenges, including usability, responsive design, and cross-platform compatibility.
- A strong design portfolio showcasing user research work is required.
