The Infrastructure Group has two core areas of focus, Server/Enterprise Applications, and Networking. The Associate Infrastructure Analyst is required to develop an expertise in one of these core areas. The areas of responsibility are all aspects of Information Technology Server Infrastructure, Security Technologies, Data Storage within the organization, and Networking Infrastructure and Data Interconnects. This person will aid the Infrastructure Engineers and Senior Engineers with ensuring the stability and operational aspects of the organization’s Information Technology Enterprise Systems, Applications, Virtual Environments, Databases, Server Infrastructure, and both Wired and Wireless Networking.

Job Functions:
Aid in the installation, maintenance, and administration of Microsoft Windows Server and Active Directory Environment including Group Policy, DNS, and other core Microsoft Technologies.
Help administrate, maintain, and develop the company’s current networking topology and technologies, including HP and Cisco networking equipment, including wireless, and implement new and emerging strategies. This encompasses both private and public networking.
Work with the lead engineers to maintain and evolve our current virtual environment currently utilizing VMWare vSphere and Citrix.
Perform proactive monitoring of Microsoft Windows Servers, VMware ESX, Security Technologies, Networking, and Infrastructure Technologies.
Aid in developing and maintaining the company's HA and DR strategies. This includes platform selections, documentation, and testing.
Help Maintain and purchase all Data Center equipment including SAN, Servers, Networking, and enterprise support appliances such as spam filters, firewalls, logging devices, IPS/IDS.
Administrate the company's security systems including but not limited to, firewalls, proxies, spam filter, virus protection, and hardware monitoring.
Conduct research on emerging products, services, protocols, and standards that support the company’s technology initiatives.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Associate’s degree - Computer Engineering, Computer Networks, Information Systems, Information Technology or 3 years of relevant IT work experience
Must have working knowledge of server, desktop, email, and security environments, including such things as Microsoft Windows Server and Workstation environments, Networking, Wireless, Anti-Spam and Anti-Spyware techniques and Security practices, or other industry-standard techniques and practices.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
High level of analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to conduct research into new technologies and products as required.
Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills.
Highly self motivated
