We’re looking for an Associate Infrastructure Reliability Engineer to join our GOCC Cloud Operations team at MBPS. In this role, you are expected to complete activities associated with providing the 24/7/365 operations required to maintain Manulife’s infrastructure and IT services by identifying, analyzing, and prioritizing events and incidents and completing service requests and BAU tasks.
Position Responsibilities:
Monitoring infrastructure components on-premises and in the cloud, troubleshoots system operating problems and determine the cause of system interruptions
1st Level support for issues related to infrastructure including IaaS and PaaS components
Performs system checks and basic maintenance plans
Assist Infrastructure/DevOps/Application Teams in creating and handling monitoring and troubleshooting tasks
Assist in the coordination and resolution of incidents
Required Qualifications:
Experience: 1 to 3 years’ experience in supporting applications in production environments running on Linux or Windows.
Knowledge in Incident Management and Problem Management
Relevant experience from working in DevOps organizations
Education: Must possess at least a bachelor's degree.
Work Arrangement: This position requires to work onsite.
Amenable to work in any shift assigned (mid/night/rotating); also flexible to work on holidays/weekends depending on business need.
Preferred Qualifications:
ITIL v3 Foundation Certification
Experience in Microsoft Azure
Experience in working with IaaS and PaaS in Microsoft Azure such as Managed SQL web apps, etc
Confident in engaging with other teams in joint troubleshooting
Professional with good communication skills
