Associate Legal Counsel

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be an active member of the Philippine Bar At least 2 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position Preferably 1-4 Years work experience specializing in Property/Real Estate or equivalent Must have strong working knowledge on Philippine Labor Laws, Construction/Real Estate Laws, Legal Forms and complaints requirements Must possess excellent English written and oral communication Must be attentive to details, resourceful, highly organized, and can work with minimal supervision Has the ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously with a high quality result and professionalism under tight deadlines Has excellent problem solving, analytical, strategic thinking, and planning skills Must possess strong interpersonal and customer service skills Able to interact with all kinds of situations and people with tact and diplomacy Able to work in a creative, fast paced, team environment

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Land Acquisition and Registration:

Conducts due diligence or property verification prior to company’s acquisition of real property with various government offices such as: Register of Deeds, LGUs, HLURB, DENR/LMB, LRA, Trial Courts, etc. Processes the Transfer of Title and Real Property Tax Declaration in the name of the Corporation.

Litigation and Case Management

Reviews complaints and cases (internal, government agencies, and court) received by the company (whether for filing of complaint by DMCI-PDI or in-defense of DMCI-PDI) Monitors all the status of the ongoing cases endorsed to legal and the external law office Prepares and submits weekly and monthly reports on various accomplishments on the assigned tasks/projects. Reviews, revises, or drafts, if necessary, different contracts, memoranda, agreement, among others, as may be endorsed by the different departments of the Company; Performs other duties and functions as may be assigned.
