It is anticipated that an incumbent in this role will work onsite for three (3) or more days a week and will have a dedicated workspace when working onsite. Work location is subject to change based on business needs. **Summary of the Job:** The Associate II is accountable for a range of assignments related to supporting the success of the legal department and compliance with laws and regulations for the business lines within the first line. This role will be responsible for identifying, analyzing, and addressing legal and reputational risk, identifying analyzing trends as well as implementing any action plans related to their work. This role will collaborate across the segment and other business units to complete work. **About This Role:** + Understanding and ability to conduct thorough research of the laws and regulations applicable to the business strategies, products, services, processes, and third parties. + Maintain a high level of transparency and understanding of the top priorities, strategies, and risk tolerances + Monitor the bank’s compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Keep abreast of proposed and finalized legal changes and update relevant stakeholders. + Review and draft initial disclosures, terms and conditions, and legal documents. Identify potential risks and provide recommendations to mitigate. + Perform periodic, independent control monitoring to ensure ongoing compliance with applicable requirements. + Coordinate and complete special projects as assigned. + Ensure employees are being adequately trained on legal matters and requirements, helping them understand their responsibilities and obligations. + Identify areas for process improvement and assist in implementing best practices within the business line, first line of defense, and legal department. + Support Audits and Reviews by analyzing testing reports and observations and report back findings to management. **The Ideal Candidate for This Role:** Basic Qualifications: + Bachelor’s degree, paralegal certification, or related experience + Proven and strong ability to multi-task assigned projects and daily workload while adhering to deadlines and accuracy. + Self-reliance and willingness to "own" problems, use a variety of resources to self-seek answers, and creatively find solutions. + Demonstrated problem solving and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. + Solid written and oral communication skills with ability to provide appropriate levels of detail based on the purpose and audience + Strong Knowledge and demonstrated experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Preferred Qualifications: + 1-3 years of Paralegal experience + Knowledge of banking laws and regulations **Compensation:** Compensation range (base pay): $62,047.00-$102,377.00 _This role may have a specific starting pay within this range._ Final compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon work experience, education, and/or skill level. **Benefits Overview:** We offer a variety of benefits designed to keep you and your family physically and financially healthy.
