Associate M&E Cost Manager- London 

To £90,000 DOE + Full Package 

Our client, a leading consultancy with a reputation for delivering world-class projects across a diverse range of industries dedicated to ensuring quality, safety, and sustainability is now urgently looking for an experienced Associate M&E Cost Manager. As Associate M&E Cost Manager you will be bringing expertise in managing cost and financial aspects of M&E projects including cost planning, budget control, and procurement across various construction projects, ensuring that mechanical and electrical systems are delivered efficiently, within budget, and aligned with client expectations. 

Key Responsibilities & Requirements: 

Provide cost management expertise across M&E projects, including budgeting, cost planning, and financial analysis. 

Develop and manage project cost estimates, monitor budget allocations, and track project spending against forecasted costs. 

Work closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to understand project requirements and advise on cost-effective M&E solutions. 

Conduct cost assessments and value engineering to identify and recommend opportunities for cost savings. 

Lead procurement processes for M&E components, managing supplier relationships and contract negotiations to secure optimal terms. 

Prepare and maintain detailed cost reports, cost forecasts, and change orders, providing clients with clear financial insights throughout the project lifecycle. 

Conduct regular project reviews to monitor progress, assess cost risks, and ensure alignment with project budgets and financial goals. 

Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure compliance with project specifications, contractual terms, and industry regulations. 

Degree in Cost/Commercial/Construction Management or equivalent. 

Considerable experience in M&E cost management, with a proven record of accomplishments on residential, commercial, hotels, mixed use developments, and healthcare projects.  

Strong understanding of M&E services.  

Excellent financial management skills, with the ability to control costs, forecast expenditures, and maximise value.  

Familiarity with standard forms of contracts.  

Proficient in cost management software and Microsoft Office tools.  

Strong attention to detail, with the ability to analyse data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.  

Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial information clearly and negotiate effectively with stakeholders.
