Actual compensation will depend on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location.  The anticipated wage for this position is

$57,750 - $129,800

The Associate - M&Q Employee Relations representative is a member of a centralized team that provides employee relations support for US-based manufacturing sites. This position will answer the needs of our people by delivering high-quality and timely HR services while balancing the needs of the employee, supervisor, and company to improve business performance.

In addition to the day-to-day responsibilities, this position will serve as a subject matter expert on employee relations processes and act as a liaison between corporate HR and the M&Q organization. The role involves contributing to and leading projects and workshops designed to enhance supervisor capability and foster connections with supervisors and employees in their work environment. Although the main focus of this role is outreach, it will also necessitate handling some Employee Relations and Investigations casework.

Position Responsibilities:Proactive Employee Relations Support:Establish a regular Employee Relations presence at manufacturing sites, building rapport with employees, supervisors, and site leadership to understand concerns at the siteLeverage insights from personal observations, HR People Analytics team data, and ER case management data to identify key themes and areas requiring additional supportIdentify issues, propose solutions, and collaborate with site HR and leadership to enhance organizational cultureCollaborate with the MQ Employee Relations team and the core Employee Relations team to provide uniform support throughout the organization

Coach and counsel supervisors:Leadership/management skillsTeam effectiveness and local organizational issuesEmployee development and retentionFair and consistent treatment and application of company policiesPerformance management and disciplineInternal staffing and other HR processes

Coach and counsel employees:Workplace issuesMeeting performance expectationsProfessional and career-related issuesPersonal issues with referrals to appropriate experts

Conduct Employee Relations case work and manage HR investigations:Plan, conduct, and document investigationsCommunicate and deliver investigation outcomes

Enhance team processes and practices to reduce bureaucracy and boost efficiency for HR, employees, and key business partners.

Serve as a Subject Matter Expert on Employee Relations (ER) and investigations, collaborating with the primary ER team to develop and maintain essential skills. Share key lessons, and cross-train with investigation and legal experts to ensure a well-rounded skills.

Basic Requirements:Bachelor’s Degree or High School Diploma/GED with 3 years of related work experience1+ years of previous experience in Human Resources or minimum of 3 years total related work or leadership experienceQualified applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
