We are looking for an Associate (m/w/d) level individual to join our Debt and Structured Finance team in Frankfurt.Role Overview
JLL Debt & Structured Finance are expanding their 30-strong European team and are seeking an associate who is looking to build a successful career in Real Estate Finance. You will be joining a collaborative and highly active team, where you will work closely with analysts, senior analysts, and directors. You will play an important role in underwriting and executing financing advisory assignments, as well as supporting pitches and other origination activities.
Our team's client base includes many of the world's largest real estate investment firms, and we cover all asset classes across major European jurisdictions.The EMEA Debt Advisory platform is currently arranging $12.9Bn of financings across Europe, following the completion of more than $9.0Bn in 2024.The Debt & Structured Finance team collaborates closely with other Capital Markets teams within JLL, offering valuable exposure to various segments of the industry.We offer a clear career path to business production through our analyst and associate programme.Associate compensation is highly competitive and aligned with the team's success.We are seeking candidates who are looking for a role with growth potential, as mentorship and organic growth are two of our team's foundational cultural principles. Typically, associates spend 2-3 years in the role before advancing to a director position.Day-to-Day Activities Broad Sector & Jurisdiction Exposure: Work closely with analysts and senior analysts to underwrite various property sectors and business plans (investment, value-add, ground-up development, etc.) across all major European jurisdictions.Financial Modelling: Lead analysts in modelling detailed unlevered and levered scenarios to align with the base case property business plan and individual financing structures. Underwriting is primarily performed in Microsoft Excel.Financing Memoranda: Prepare detailed financing memoranda (30-70 pages) by leading the communication with clients, JLL analysts and directors, and JLL support teams. These documents summarize key elements of the financing request, underlying collateral, business plan, market, and sponsorship.Lender Outreach: Play a crucial role in marketing financing opportunities by presenting to lenders and coordinating all related workstreams, such as lender Q&As, in collaboration with analysts.Loan Execution Analysis: Lead the review of financing quotes and guide analysts in creating detailed quote matrices. Analyze various options by modelling different terms and structures.Transaction Management: During the closing process, lead the coordination of all-party calls, manage conditions precedent, and ensure key deadlines are met.New Mandate Origination: Assist directors in securing new mandates by preparing detailed RFP responses and pitch decks. These documents, along with financing memoranda, are typically created in Microsoft PowerPoint.

To apply you need to be / have A bachelor’s and/or master’s degree in Real Estate, Banking & Finance, Economics or Business Administration from a reputable university (or equivalent) 4-5 years of previous experience in a professional working environment with either a Real Estate or Financial Services organisation Strong analytical skills and problem-solving ability Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills Excellent German and English skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to negotiate confidently in both languagesAn inquisitive mindset with a strong eagerness to learnA self-starter who takes initiative, demonstrates excellent time management, and is well-organizedA collaborative team player who values being part of a high-performing teamExcellent communication skills and ability to build relationships with colleagues and clientsA commercial, proactive, and business-oriented approach with an unwavering focus on providing high-quality, high-value service to external clientsAbility to multitask, perform under pressure, and effectively manage time and workload
