Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for an Associate Machine Operator to join the team based out of Helena, Montana on 2nd Shift (Monday -Thursday 4:00pm-2:00am).
The selected candidate for this position will be responsible for setting up machines, performing machining and fabrication tasks, and creating test articles, fixtures, and data collection devices for various tests. The ideal candidate will have experience handling complex components and systems based on established drawings and requirements, as well as collaborating with NC Programming, Quality, and Engineering teams to establish best practices for machining operations.
Position Responsibilities:
Performs machine set-up, machining, welding set-up, welding, sheet metal fabrication and extrusion, tube bending and fabrication tasksPerforms composite lay-up, fabrication and assembly tasksAssembles and installs wire harnesses and avionics productsPrepares test articles, fixtures and data collection devices to perform various testsPerforms basic organic chemical conversion and paint preparationApplies routine organic coatings for corrosion protection and appearance requirementsWorks on articles of moderate complexity using established drawings and requirementsBasic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
1+ years of experience utilizing and following detailed work instructions, reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, or specifications1+ years of experience setting-up and operating CNC Mills and LathesAbility to work any shift based on the needs of the operationAbility to lift up to 35 poundsAbility to perform physical activities such as climbing, bending, kneeling and liftingPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
3+ years of experience using Microsoft Office Tools, Word, Excel, PowerPoint3+ years of experience using basic math (e.g. addition, subtraction, multiplication and division)3+ years of experience utilizing and following detailed work instructions, reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, or specifications3+ years of experience in a role that required strong attention to detailsDrug Free Workplace:

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range: $48,600 – $53,000
Sign-On Bonus: External candidates are eligible for a sign-on bonus up to $2,000
