About the Role:

Leverage your deep clinical and scientific expertise to present Neurocrine's groundbreaking therapies to key formulary and access decision-makers. You'll champion the value proposition of our innovative products to Medical Access influencers and stakeholders across Managed Markets, Payers, Government Programs, and Managed Care Organizations. As our go-to payer and formulary clinical expert, you'll forge and sustain influential relationships with managed care thought leaders, ensuring optimal patient access to our life-changing treatments. This role demands a collaborative spirit, working in tandem with the Market Access team to deliver top-tier information, resources, and training to managed care organizations.Engage in the exciting domain of health economics and outcomes data, driving collaborative opportunities for both current treatments and pipeline products, ensuring the enduring success of Neurocrine’s innovative solutions. You will provide unparalleled scientific guidance for Health Economics (HEOR) to internal stakeholders and consultants, supporting advisory board activities as needed.Furthermore, you'll play a pivotal role in strengthening the Directors of Field Medical Affairs teams, offering expert training, development of compelling testimonies, and other critical resources. Your leadership skills will shine as you coach and mentor colleagues, embodying the pinnacle of innovation and excellence.Immerse yourself in educating internal teams on the multifaceted roles and undeniable value of the MCL team, and elevate the expertise of other FMA teams through specialized training sessions. Requirements:

PhD, PharmD or equivalent in a health science field and 7+ years of field Medical Affairs experience, including 2+ year of previous MSL experience addressing scientific and clinical issues of policy in a Managed care, Market Access role and/or relevant transferable experience (clinical practice, academic research, regulatory/scientific). Experience with health plan drug utilization decision-making (Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee, DUR, Guideline Panels, ICER). Experience in conducting and communicating the results of health outcomes research. OR

PhD, PharmD or equivalent in a health science field and 1+ years of field Medical Affairs Experience and 3+ years MCO experience

Emerging as an internal thought leader with technical and/or business expertise

Applies in-depth knowledge of own area of expertise to solve problems

Applies expertise to manage critical projects and/or relationships

Integrates analysis of business objectives and strategic direction to resolve problems and recommend solutions

Has input into short-term strategy and may be involved in long-term strategy on a functional level

Strong communications, problem-solving, analytical thinking, influencing skills

Expertise in health economic principles and clinical trials

Proven experience conducting and communicating the results of clinical trials, RWE and health economics and outcomes research

Strong understanding of regulations and current FDA guidance covering interactions of industry and managed care organizations

Strong-track record of fostering relationships and demonstrated ability to identify national, regional, and local KOLs/PBDMs

Uses extensive knowledge of FDA guidance to make informed decisions as an individual contributor

Proven ability to network and partner with external stakeholders, specifically managed care organizations

Extensive knowledge of all the clinical and scientific data for our product(s), as well as a deep understanding of managed markets

The annual base salary we reasonably expect to pay is $206,400.00-$298,850.00. Individual pay decisions depend on various factors, such as primary work location, complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. In addition, this position offers an annual bonus with a target of 30% of the earned base salary and eligibility to participate in our equity based long term incentive program. Benefits offered include a retirement savings plan (with company match), paid vacation, holiday and personal days, paid caregiver/parental and medical leave, and health benefits to include medical, prescription drug, dental and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans.
