The Associate Manager of the Book It! Program at Pizza Hut is responsible for overseeing and managing the execution of the Book It! Program, a long-standing and beloved initiative that encourages a love for reading and promotes literacy in communities across the country. Reporting into the Director of Field HR & Book It! you will shape and own execution of the program’s strategy and success measures, ensuring it aligns with Pizza Hut's brand values and goals. This position involves managing a small team that administers the program through digital platforms, collaborating with key external stakeholders such as the Pizza Hut Foundation (run by Pizza Hut franchisees) and non-profit organizations, key internal stakeholders and continually measuring and elevating the success of the program’s outreach.
You will drive program growth, cultivate relationships with community leaders and representatives and lead internal coordination to ensure seamless operations. The ideal candidate will be passionate about education, community engagement, and bringing impactful programs to life.

Program Leadership & Strategy:
Lead the overall strategy planning and execution of the Book It Program, ensuring alignment with Pizza Hut’s brand and business objectives. Seek and implement opportunities to raise funds that support the program’s self-sufficiency, manage overall budget for operational costs, and track donations to external organizations. Partner with Pizza Hut Franchisees and Pizza Hut Foundation members to design and drive community impact projects to promote literacy, using donated funds from the program. Identify new opportunities for program expansion and improvement, both digitally and within the local community. Work closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to drive program initiatives, enhancements, and future opportunities. Oversee the creation and management of the Book It Program calendar, including key milestones, promotional periods, and initiatives.Team Management:
Manage a small team of 2-3 direct reports who administer all aspects of the program, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance management to help them succeed in their roles. Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture, ensuring high morale and engagement. Assist in the development of training materials, resources, and onboarding processes for new team members and stakeholders.Stakeholder Collaboration:
Build and maintain relationships with educators, franchise partners, and external stakeholders to drive program engagement and reach. Work with marketing, legal, communications, finance and product teams to create promotional materials, advertisements, and resources that support the Book It program. Coordinate with internal departments to ensure smooth execution, including logistics, technology, and creative assets.Program Operations & Analytics:
Oversee program operations, ensuring all deliverables, rewards, and timelines are met in a timely and effective manner. Analyze data and metrics to track program success, identify opportunities for growth, and report on results to leadership. Provide feedback and recommendations for program enhancements based on participant feedback and program performance.Community Engagement & Brand Advocacy:
Represent Pizza Hut’s commitment to education and literacy at community events, conferences, and other educational forums. Develop new initiatives to increase community engagement and drive awareness of the Book It program. Advocate for the program’s mission internally, ensuring alignment with the company’s values and corporate social responsibility goals.Qualifications:
Location: Reside in DFW area required. Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, Marketing, Communications, Education, or a related field (or equivalent work experience) preferred. Experience: 5+ years of experience in program management with at least 2 years in a leadership role required. Proven track record of managing a team and driving cross-functional collaboration. Previous experience managing budgets required. Experience working with community outreach institutions or representatives focused on promoting literacy is a plus. Experience in digital marketing/ web-application support is a plus. Skills: Strong leadership and team-building skills with the ability to communicate, motivate and inspire during times of change. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage and influence diverse stakeholders. Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. High degree of comfort with technology with a problem-solving mindset to improve user experience and support optimum performance of digital platforms. Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze performance metrics, financial budgets and make data-informed decisions. High degree of creativity and innovation, with an ability to think outside the box to improve the program. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Asana, Trello) and CRM platforms is a plus.Salary Range: $80,000 - $88,000 annually + bonus eligibility (if applicable).
