Associate Manager, Design (Virtual)

As a member of the USB (US Businesses) Creative Team, this individual is responsible for the design of various types of promotional advertising, sales support, financial materials, and/or internal communications. Ensures that design is consistent with overall strategic goals of the organization and the appropriate business unit. May be assigned the most complex or high profile design projects. May coordinate activities across the organization to assure quality, timeliness and cost efficiency.

We’re looking for a smart, energetic, conceptual Associate Art Director who is capable of handling multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced in-house design environment. The Associate Art Director will be responsible for creating innovative solutions for B2B and B2C markets. This position will be part of the USB (US Businesses) Creative Team and will support our Retirement Strategies business unit.

This candidate must possess a sophisticated aesthetic sense that works across multiple digital and print media, a dedication to innovation and a love for the convergence of design and technology. Our ideal candidate will have a portfolio of work that combines strong concepts and usability with an engaging storytelling experience. This candidate will design a wide variety of projects. There must be a focus on bringing our Business Partners’ sales and marketing goals to life in the most engaging ways possible to help drive business results.

An Associate Art Director who is relentless about asking questions and eager to work with client and pitch and defend the work. The USB Creative Team is fully aligned to helping the US Businesses achieve their goals. Responsibilities:

Collaborate with Strategy, Writers, Project Managers, Production, UX and Development to conceptualize, design and refine Marketing assets including digital, email, print, data visualization and video/animation. Stay up to date on industry trends and new technologies.Take and implement feedback to grow as a creative professional Embrace a continuous improvement mindset, applying learnings from past programs to ongoing work.Leverage industry best practices for creation of materials.Be a Prudential Brand AmbassadorBring a positive, can-do attitude to the roleShare accountability for the success of the work product as measured by program KPIs.



Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Multimedia/Motion Graphics/3D or related discipline from an accredited college or university required.3+ years of digital and print design experience.Ability to develop strategically-based conceptual ideas and execute against them to create innovative digital/multimedia solutions in a highly collaborative environment.Understanding of best practices in motion graphics, 3D, web design, eMail and user interface/information architecture conventions, brand identity and print/advertising design.Superb information design abilities. Strong problem solving skills and communication skills: excellent verbal and writing skills.Impressive portfolio demonstrating concept work across a range of platforms.Understanding of the latest design trends, an interest in exploring and pushing creative boundaries and the ability to think about design beyond the screen and print.Ability to balance great design with short deadlines.Must be able to work both independently and collaboratively with writers, developers, planners, strategists, other team members and business partners. A positive approach is essential.Software expertise including: Adobe CC, Figma, HTML, and Microsoft Office. Ceros, Stensul, and designing for accessibility is a plus.

What we offer you:Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $83,500.00 to $129,500.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills.
