JOB DESCRIPTION

FOX News Digital seeks an Associate Manager of Digital Strategy and Operations to join our team. The ideal applicant has an excellent track record in operations with exposure to finance, business development, consulting, advertising, and/or successful editorial content delivery. You have experience identifying and analyzing business needs and creating and/or maintaining systems & processes to streamline workflows and create efficiencies for fast-paced teams. You have proven experience gathering and testing data in support of business decision-making, including customer/audience research, and in translating direction and goals into results that can be used to help FOX News Digital grow and deliver even better offerings for our audience. 

In this role, you will be part of the Strategy and Operations team reporting to the Deputy Managing Editor of Digital Strategy and Operations. You will work closely with the Vice President of Platform Strategy and support other Managing Editors, members of their teams, and other key partners and stakeholders across FOX News Media. You will also have exposure to Digital’s President/Editor-in-Chief.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES 

Facilitate product/technology engagement and prioritization as the Strategy and Operations representative for Editorial needs with Product, and maintain the Editorial Product priority list.

Collaborate with Human Resources to manage candidate tracking and maintain comprehensive documentation on open positions and personnel movements.

Coordinate the onboarding and offboarding process for Digital employees and ensure the regular update of process documents.

Assist with the management and optimization of human capital, including upkeep of digital organization charts and regular updates to leadership.

Provide HR and Finance with stringer management support, from approval and agreement execution to analytics and ROI assessment.

Supervise vendor management (including technical services and publication subscriptions) updating profiles, monitoring agreements, and conducting negotiations, as well as facilitating reviews with finance and legal teams.

Support strategic ad sales and social media ad campaigns, coordinating pre-campaign planning, content, and ad asset coordination, launch planning, pacing communications, and post-campaign analysis.

Oversee COUPA Payment Processing System activities, including invoice processing and approval as well as supplier onboarding and management.

Conduct monthly financial reporting and communications, manage, and optimize the operating budget for verticals, including subscriptions, travel & expenses (T&E), and editorial operating costs, and aid in annual budget planning.

Lead sourcing for computer accessories and field equipment.

Support operations of the College Associates Program (8–10-week terms), including program management and communication.

Engage with internal stakeholders and outside third parties to advance Digital’s strategy and operations.

Identify opportunities to streamline workflow, provide efficiencies to teams, and create and maintain best practices for the Digital team.

Assist the Digital Strategy and Operations leadership with ongoing strategic and tactical support on matters of the highest importance and time sensitivity.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

A Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience

3+ years of experience in strategy, operations, finance, business development, consulting, advertising, and/or successful editorial content delivery

Excellent track record of achieving results in a fast-paced work environment

Strong attention to detail with the ability to see the bigger picture and prioritize across multiple workstreams

Experience navigating a complex organization and working effectively and collaboratively at strategic and tactical levels with a wide range of stakeholders of varying seniority

Ability to quickly and independently problem-solve and communicate early

Ability to independently drive projects from strategy to execution

Ability to develop business cases, build models, and conduct market research

On-call, can-do, and audience-first mentality to work in a demanding and dynamic environment 

Exceptional organizational skills, multitasking capabilities, and attention to detail

Ability to effectively prioritize workload in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Excellent Excel skills

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is: $75,000.00-80,000.00 annually for New York City and Westchester County, NY. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
