Summarized Purpose:

Ensures efficient and effective processes of the department and is responsible for quality within the department. Participates in the daily operations of the departments supported or where needed and follows up on complaints/issues unit resolution. Provides training for new personnel or when new processes are implemented. Follows up on training documentation of the team. Attends study protocol meetings, courier weekly, QBR’s and escalation calls. Creates work schedule and holiday planning for the team.

Education and Experience:

Preferred degree Bachelor degree or relevant formal/academic/vocational qualification or precious experience that provides knowledge, skills, and ability to perform the job [comparable to 5+ yearsProven Leadership skills

Additional/Specific Job Responsibilities:

Reports to Director, Lab LogisticsManages the Team Leads in Track/Trace and ShippingActs as a back up to other Team Leads in LogisticsDirects and participates in all aspect of daily operations of the departmentEvaluates performance of the team and displays positive attitude and excellent work ethicsPlans appropriate staffing levels to meet business and client needsProvides training to new staff members and when new processes are implementedProint of escalation for queries related to Track/Trace and Shipping,Point of escalation for calls related to courier issues, performance and logistics issues and escalated to management/appropriate department to ensure satisfaction of internal and external stakeholdersActively assists during Sponsor auditsAssists Management with training, quality compliance, SOP reviews and updatesManages staff, which may include interviewing and job selection, job description preparation, professional development, goal setting, performance management, behavior and technical coaching and mentoring, employee counseling, and separationsReviews and approves time records, expense reports and/or global team meetingsConducts 1:1 with direct reports and maintains open communication with each staff memberAttend client meetings ad needed
Leads and participates in projectsCoordinates the review and action required on courier performance reportsAssists in managing Quality Events related to the departmentMay require IATA certificationBenefits
