Reports To: FP&A Senior Manager

Position Summary:  

The position is a key role to lead FP&A activities as Corp FP&A in Thermo Fisher scientific in Japan. As a strategic business partner, the position will actively work with CEO, CFO and back-office leaders in Japan as well as regional/global Finance counterparts. The manager expects to provide insightful financial analysis to drive Total Japan’s performance improvement and support execution. The manager takes the responsibility to cover.

Job Responsibilities:

Lead financial planning and review processes:Prepare annual operating plan, monthly and mid-term forecasts, and long-term strategic plan.Forecast, track, analyze revenue and commercial P/L as well as preparing monthly/quarterly business review package.Monitor performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of variance. Find opportunities to improve financial performance.Develop financial models and perform financial analysis to support management decision making process.Effectively collaborate closely with Global division/Commercial/Finance and APAC Commercial/Finance teamsInitiate and lead FP&A operational improvements.Coach and develop a team member to build a cohesive, high-performance team.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance, or equivalent knowledge; MBA is a plus.5+ years proven experiences in FP&A or Commercial Finance roles, 1+ years experiences as people manager.Thorough understanding in financial accountingEffective verbal & written communication abilities in English and JapanesePreferred experience in ERP (SAP/Oracle) and analytical tools (Hyperion)
