The Associate Manager, Finance Japan will be responsible for providing Order to Cash and Treasury support for the Japanese subsidiary. This position will be based in Tokyo and will report into the Director of Finance & Administration, Japan.
A typical day might include:
Creating and issuing monthly consolidated invoices to wholesaler customers in Japan
Calculating rebates for wholesalers based on close collaboration with the Trade team
Assessing and leading customer credit limits and terms
Working with the Treasury team to evaluate credit risk and implement credit policies
Developing and implementing effective collection strategies to minimize overdue accounts
Monitoring accounts receivable aging and follow up on overdue payments
Leading all aspects of the cash application process to ensure accurate and timely posting of payments
Complete daily cash reconciliation in Reval
Acting as the local Point of Contact with our Japanese bank
Overseeing Non-PO, P-Card, and Domestic Transfer payments
Supporting local SOX controls testing and internal audits
Participate in special projects, as needed throughout the year
This role might be for you if you have:
3-5 years of experience, preferably in a pharmaceutical/biotech environment
Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast paced international environment
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
Extensive knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, financial reporting and analysis, and compliance
Experience with SOX and developing, enhancing, and maintaining systems of internal control
Japanese/English fluency is necessary
Knowledge of ERP systems is required (Oracle/SAP)
Bachelor’s degree in a business or quantitative field
