SUMMARY The Associate Manager is responsible for most management functions including program oversight, budget, hiring, training, and staffing for the Freedom Springs services staff. The manager oversees advocacy, crisis intervention, support services, and coordination with funding sources. Ensures that their assigned program meets or exceeds program objectives, supervises the provision of high-quality services for program participants, and further ensures on-going compliance with funder requirements and agency policy and procedure. Responsible for the recruitment, training, supervision, performance management and evaluations, and scheduling of staff, volunteers and interns. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Case Management Responsibilities + Assists in relocating residents as needed and securing emergency housing as needed. + Provides tenant/property management mediation as needed. + Responsible for gaining in-depth knowledge regarding program requirements, including the referral process, support services, allowable costs, field-relevant best practices, utilization of the coordinated entry system and HUD permanent supportive housing standards. + Assists residents filling out rental applications, interpreting leases and understanding tenant rights and responsibilities. + Develops and coordinates events for the property such as health, wellness and educational events. + Assists in creation of monthly newsletter published for all residents. + Attends orientations, trainings, education programs, meetings and workshops. + Develops safety plans and coordinates with local crisis providers and emergency personnel to connect residents with crisis services as needs arise. + Responsible for program budget creation and modification as necessary throughout grant period. + Performs all other duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities + Responsible for the on-going monitoring of service provision, including oversight of all operational program components from outreach to program exit and ensures adhere to program requirements and field-relevant best practices and standards. + Works closely with managers, supervisors, property management and project development staff to ensure team members are receiving appropriate support and have a comprehensive array of Veteran referral sources. + Recruits, hires, trains, coaches, evaluates, and supervises assigned program staff including volunteers and implements on-going training and staff development activities. + Responsible for continuous program development and oversight, reviewing funder requirements on an on-going basis. + Monitors all aspects of program documentation completed by assigned staff. Gathers statistical data relevant to the program as required. + Works with Senior Manager to develop a monthly report for project developer. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS + Balance administrative and direct service responsibilities. + Administer application of Harm Reduction, Critical Time Intervention, Motivational Interviewing, Trauma Informed Care, and Housing First Principles. + Respectfully and professionally serve individuals hailing from diverse backgrounds, cultures, ideologies, and religions. + Work independently and thrive within a diverse, multicultural team environment. + Communicate effectively verbally and in writing. + Apply appropriate self-care in the face of often difficult and/or traumatic situations which commonly present while working with persons in need of services. + Maintain confidentially of all information and by participating effectively within and across teams. Requirements MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS OF POSITION + Direct Supervision of Case Managers and volunteers on staff. + Bachelor’s degree in human services, social work, or a related field, or at least four years of work experience in human services or a related field. + One year of direct, full-time case management experience. + Demonstrated ability to lead teams of human service professionals. + Must possess a Colorado driver’s license and state-mandated automobile insurance. + Must possess a personal vehicle that may be used for work-related travel (reimbursement for mileage is available). + Must complete agency and program credentialing within 12 weeks of hire and maintain credentialing standards thereafter. + Experience working with survivors of domestic violence preferred. WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS + Travel throughout the program’s service area is required on a regular basis. + Must be able to work in diverse and, at times, uncomfortable environments such as homeless shelters, service facilities, streets, offices, and all other locations as necessary to fulfill program objectives.
