YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensure a strong execution against the medical strategy and support for consumer health brandsSupport the brand growth by ensuring endorsement and recommendation by relevant KOLs (e.g. nutritionals, doctors, co- medicals, pharmacists etc)Coordinate with brand team and all necessary internal and external stakeholders, manage sensitive KOL relationshipsResponsible for scientific and medical communication plans including material development, publications, MSL’s, etc. Develops and guides local Thought Leader (TL) management strategyDevelop overall medical strategy for assigned brands to support the commercial brand strategy, based on strong insights and understanding of the healthcare professionals (doctors, co-medicals, pharmacists) in collaboration with the brand management teamLead Medical claim development & substantiationIdentify opportunities and, with alignment, generate new medical claim angles based on scientific literature in line with brand strategy for existing products and new product concepts during pre-development stagesPromotional material co-development (with marketing) of medical claims and substantiationLead to establish Japan medical claim pack for all CH products in collaboration with marketing and global counterpartCompetitor intelligence related to medical claims and substantiation - monitor and prepare accordinglyContinuously screen and digest new literature & proactively share new data with brand teamsActively engage and participate in industry bodies related to medical subcommittees and topicsSales force supportImplement sales force training programs related to product science and medical-related contentOngoing training of sales force (product, competitors, science - drills, exams etc.)Support sales teams with higher level enquiries escalated from medical informationNew Product Development SupportPropose formulation recommendations based on science and evidence (iterative process together with CMC, marketing regulatory)Seek formulation input & advice from KOLsProvide medical view on product concepts in context of competitor medical attributes, claims, positioning, use etc.Evaluate new product development ideas in a clinical and medical context and provide guidance on feasibility. Conduct formulation reviews and RDI audits products containing multivitaminsFAQ developmentSupport training of commercial team members on governance requirementsEngage with industry bodies and other external stakeholders to keep abreast of latest industry changes and ensure Bayer has a voice within relevant associationsReview promotional materials taking a solution-oriented approach
WHO YOU ARE:
Masters degree (Preferred) OR Bachelor degree in medical/pharmaceutical/biological/life science or equivalentMinimum 5-8 years work experience in a pharmaceutical company with preferrable experience in the consumer health industry in a R&D and Medical Affairs roleScientific and medical expertise in consumer health/OTC or Pharma medicineStrategic thinking, result driven, Proactive with problem solving mindsetAbility to work well with cross-functional teamsExpertise in HCP facing/engagement could be prioritizedPreferably a Registered pharmacistNative level Japanese & a good command of written and spoken English (TOEIC 730 or above is preferred)
