Job Description: The purpose of this position is to use established practices and guidelines applying technical knowledge, and direction as listed. This role has the responsibility to help promote Fluor’s competitiveness within the global marketplace by delivering quality services of unmatched value and technical competence. This position reports to a Discipline Material Controller on assigned projects. Has basic knowledge of Fluor practices and guidelines. • Develop a basic understanding of the development of project estimates and project baselines. • Develop a basic understanding of project execution including Change Management and how it affects the changes in material quantities. • Develop a basic understanding of Forecasting. • Develop the ability to read and interpret Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) other discipline drawings, and manufacturer’s catalog data. • Assists in expediting and the status of materials. • Keeps the Project Discipline Engineer/Material Control Manager informed of the status of materials. • Other duties as assigned.
