The Opportunity:
As an Associate Media Director, you’ll lead media strategies across multiple accounts, mentor a high-performing team, and guide clients toward smarter, sharper, and effective marketing decisions.
You’ll play a pivotal role in developing integrated, full-funnel marketing solutions — bringing together channels, data, and insights to deliver meaningful business impact. You’ll also help connect the dots across disciplines, working closely with Account, Strategy, and Creative teams to bring big ideas to life.
Remote (U.S. based applicants preferred) - must be available to work EST hours; candidates no further west than Central time zone preferred
Where will you work?
Wherever you are. And in the office on Tuesdays and Thursdays…if you want.
We’re a remote workplace (with optional in-office days). We have offices in Boston, Nashville, New York, Portland, DC and London.
Responsibilities:Lead media strategy and planning across multiple accounts, delivering integrated, full-funnel solutions that ladder up to client business goalsOwn the development and presentation of media plans — across digital and offline channels — ensuring consistency, rigor, and innovation in every deliverableAct as a strategic media leader in client meetings and new business pitchesDrive collaboration across departments (account, strategy, creative) to ensure alignment and cohesionChampion a performance-first culture that rallies around maximizing results and exceeding client expectationsMentor and manage a growing team; inspire and guide junior staff across projects and professional developmentManage performance reviews, coaching to maximize success, setting goals for career developmentEnsure all deliverables are on-brand, on-strategy, and on-timeStay ahead of media and consumer trends, bringing new ideas and fresh thinking to clients and internal teamsAssist in new business ideation, scoping, presentation development, etc.Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience 7–10 years of media or advertising agency experienceProven experience developing and executing integrated, cross-channel media strategiesA sharp understanding of the entire marketing funnel, and how to guide consumers through itLeadership skills that inspire collaboration, trust, and excellenceFluency in analytics and media measurement, with a track record of using data to drive optimizationComfort with self-serve platforms (Meta, LinkedIn, Google Ads, etc.)Experience using GPT/AI to improve quality, accuracy, and speed of work Excellent presentation and communication skills — verbal, visual, and writtenA curiosity and excitement for where media is going nextRequirements:G Suite (sheets, docs, slides), Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)Knowledge of media tools and research providers (comScore, GWI, Nielsen, MNI, MRI, Mintel, etc.)Google Marketing platform (Campaign Manager, Google Analytics, Google Data Studio)Demonstrates an ability to leverage 0P, 1P, 2P, and 3P data to drive decision makingExperience with account-based marketing (ABM): Proven experience in implementing ABM strategies, focusing on targeting key accounts with personalized marketing campaigns. Ability to rally team members around a new solutionAbility to conduct critical analysis and identify key insightsStrong written, verbal, and visual communication skillsProactive and self-motivatedExcellent problem-solving skillsSolid project management and organizational skillsHigh level of accuracy and attention to detailExperience overseeing the full suite of media channels into a single mixExcellent presentation skillsResourceful, with proven problem-solving skills
